What exactly are you scared of?

alcohol poisoning and coke overdose mostly. I was simply asking you natives if you think that things will be a little more "on edge" so to speak that weekend compared to any other.

treat it like you would any weekend in the Quarter. Stay together, keep your wits about you, and don't wander down empty back streets.

thanks for the actual response.

How do you people survive on a day by day basis? It must hurt being this stupid.

Just stay home.

MLK Weekend isn't some huge party event you retarded frick

I never said there was a party shithead. But after ferguson, and new york, and now another shooting in st. louis...knowing the type of black people that populate the quarter it wouldn't be surprising if the local black people, on MLK weekend, decided to make some sort of point. If you don't have anything of substance to contribute then shut the frick up.

I guess you're afraid of the dark, you probably keep a night light on in your bedroom.

Essence fest has in the past been one of the better weekends of all the big events for bartenders and servers.

I will say the past 3-4 years it seems like it was worst and fell in line a little more with Da Classic than the decade before... Can't tell you why. But I agree, every wealthy black person from ATL, Nashville, Memphis, Dallas, etc comes to the city

I don't think criminals care or acknowledge what MLK actually fought for and tried to bring to the table. But it wouldn't surprise me if those same people used that weekend to try to make a point and kill some white folk in retribution for ferguson or new york.

Yeah, that sounds completely retarded, but that's the thought process that some people have unfortunately. And you know it.

Exactly. MLK day is never an issue in NOLA.

Is it an issue in other cities? Is there more black on white crime and hate on MLK day in other cities?

You shouldn't worry. In all seriousness, I don't ever remember anything out of the ordinary happening that weekend.

Please tell me how I'm stupid.

Haven't you been in jail like 8 times? But I'm the stupid one...maybe if you'd have stayed home a little more you wouldn't get in the situations you've been in in your life.
