WTF - Why postpose the protests if they had NO relation to the murders?

Why is Blasio now asking to postpone the protests? The reigning meme is that they are entirely irrelevant to the actions of some random mentally disturbed individual.

IF the protesters have a legitimate gripe why is their freedom of speech being curtailed?

This doesn't make sense.

Either the protests area related or they are not.

Why doesn't Blasio recommend stopping Christmas sales until after the funerals? They are unrelated too.

To me this is clear admission that they know they have stepped in a big ol pile of hot dog shite.

A combination of politics and sensitivity that, sadly, is weighted too much in favor of the former, if you ask me.

And it is correct.

He has stepped in a big ol pile of hot dog shite. That does not mean he is at all responsible for a prick killing two cops.

Those who persist in connecting politics to two murders are just as sick in the head as those who connected Palin to Giffords.

No one is curtailing free speech. He made a request. Since the police have to monitor / support protests and they are amped up right now, it is prob a good idea to let things cool down a bit.

But keep grasping at straws. This must be like an early Christmas for you and some others on this board.

It's a political gesture not an acknowledgement of guilt.

Optics. Anti-police protests look bad right now. And the systemic reforms that are needed can be done quietly.

Of course. Confirmation bias is a very real thing.
