i have a friend who is 40 who wont date anyone over 25. needless to say its lot of drama
I can't imagine anything worse than being in your 40s and trying to have a conversation with someone under 25. Even a brief conversation. Most of the girls I know that are that age are as vapid and clueless as my (now deceased) bloodhound.

Tell him to buy her some implants. He can literally buy that aspect. Can he buy a brain or an entire set of settled hormones? I think not................YET.

Depends on a lot of things.
I have 40+ aged friends who aren't losers/immature and we get along fine.
I seem to get along fine with most people on this message board.
I will agree that the younger you date, regardless of maturity, you increase the chances of that person growing up and growing far away from you. She may be a carefree drama-less chick. But if she's really young, there's a good chance she discovers new people/things and leaves you.

I'm 34. I started dating this girl that is in college. I thought she was 22-23. She's 19. She doesn't like to party and loves my kids.

But there are plenty of same-age trainwrecks lol. Since most relationships are of similar age, then wouldnt every dating stat reflect that level of disaster?
My bad on the wording. Should've said it's more likely it's going to be a trainwreck.
I may not be right, but it just seems like more times than not, when a girl, say 22 or less, starts dating someone 27-28+, it just ends in a disaster.

Exactly why you have to wait for those life altering moments/phases to take place. Would be pointless to engage in a relationship with someone who in several years sees everything in a completely different light.

granted there are exceptions. But one's perspective changes so much from 20s to 40s, I can't see how it would be easy to communicate with each other. I'd imagine both parties could handle it in the short term, but long term would be daunting.
Honestly, could you see yourself dating a guy in his 40s? Even your shared love of epicurean adventures would be strained with some guy twice your age!

It depends on if the man or the woman is older.

I think 10-15 years is nothing if they are both over 25

This whole thread is gross... Must be because I'm not old yet.

20's dating an early 30s?
Nope

Or what about an 18 year old dating a late 20 year old?
It's a little weird unless the girl is really mentally mature for her age. Most women mature a LOT from 18-22.

Do you think its casual to have a mid 30s guy date an early 20s?
Absolutely. It can just be a challenge to get into such a relationship since those demographics are rarely ever spending time in the same places. I.e., they don't really go to the same bars.

Do you find these "dates" on Backpage.com?
Posted on 12/16/14 at 1:23 pm to tiggerthetooth
Has more to do with the maturity level and experience of the person.
I'm 24 and have tried to date 20 year olds and it just doesn't work. They're too immature, inexperienced, and generally care way too much about what people think of them. I think once a person hits a certain point of adulthood though, it doesn't make a difference.
