I could argue that LSU recruits itself. When is the last time LSU didn't recruit well?

remember where you were before Miles!!!

The top program in the country. And no, you aren't gonna scare me into not wanting better for the program with this scared excuse

His players love him and would run through a wall for him.

Cool, don't really see how this matters.

DiNardo put up descent rankings, especially considering the state of the program when he arrived. However, he went high risk, high reward and it backfired. By his last season we didn't even have a full scholarship squad because of attrition, transfers, and disciplinary problems. So, that would count.

Hallman got some talent, but not enough. But talent doesn't matter when you rank with Gerry Faust as one of the most out of your depth head coaches in the history of college football.

Archer was an awful recruiter. That was his undoing.

Same could have been said about ND, Nebraska, Michigan, etc a while back.

I agree with most of what you said, and think LSU can do better than Miles, but the above quote is untrue. No school sells itself. Look at UF, Texas, Bama before Saban, and even LSU before Saban. Theyr ecruited well, but not consistently in the top 10 like they are now.

If you'd said "I think plenty of coaches could take over the program now and be successful" then I'd fully agree.

LSU was NOT the top program in the country. The year before Saban won a natty, the Tigers were 8-5. The year after, 9-3 (excluding the bowl loss to Iowa)

Some Tiger fans are so fricked up over Saban leaving, they start believing he did at LSU what he's done at Bama. Not knocking the rebuild he did but stop with the revisionist history.
