We used to get drunk and shoot each other with BB guns in high school. And possibly street lights. Won't confirm or deny.

People are being programmed to think guns are evil.

I wouldnt glance twice at a 11 yr old with a beebee gun. He's walking down the street to go to his friend's house.

Would you flip out if you saw a kid (lets say 10-13) walking down the street with a bb gun?

Not at all. shite, when I was a kid I had a pretty high powered pellet gun (still an air gun) I would try and shoot squirrels with (the key word being try, I don't think I ever hit one of those frickers with that pellet gun).

Parents are such pussies these days. Sad really.....

No, he just "appeared" to shoot something, there is 0 confirmation or allegations of any property damage.

Should the kid be talked to about firearm discipline? Yes.

Cops called? No.

I just wanted to make sure my suspicion of my neighbors being pussies was warranted.

Big difference between a 10 year old and a 13 year old walking down the street with a BB gun.

By the time I was 13 I was walking down the street with .22 or 30-30. What would a 13 year old be doing with a BB gun. He must be a pussy.

Sounds like your neighbor has some problems. Nothing wrong with a kid walking down the street with a BB gun.

It's a BB gun.
you can see the bb as it leaves the gun.
fireworks are more dangerous than bb gun's
bikes are more dangerous
and just about everything else dumb that kids do are more dangerous.

THat being said, depends on the kid i see with the BB gun and where they are going, but would more than likely not care at all.

We walked around with our pellet guns all the time. You could kill someone with the higher end crack barrel pellet gun. I do'nt think it's possible to kill someone with a BB gun.

In my current neighborhood, about 10 years ago there was a home for sale. The river was up and the water in the swamp was high. At that time we had about 15 homes and 7 or 8 of the neighbors were out walking the road, drinking beer and shooting snakes. Well a realtor shows up with a family to look at the house for sale. We didn't realized and shot a snake and they immediately got back in the car and left.

Probably worked out for the best...

I got my first one - a Daisy spring-powered model - around age 8. A few years later I got the Crosman air-powered gun that would shoot BBs or .177 pellets. I could have been hell on wheels with that thing if it didn't take so long to pump it up between shots.

We had a few BB gun wars when I was a kid. After the first kid showed up with a Benjamin pump pellet gun, we quit. Not as fun when you're outgunned.

i wouldnt flip out but i wouldnt call the police. Kids dont have a clue what they are doing with a bb gun. Next thing you known your taking the kid to the emergency room because he got shot in the head or eye.

Tell the kid to go in his back yard or take the bb gun away from him/her
