Screw Houston. I've always hated going there on company money. I wouldn't spend a penny of my own to go there.

For someone who's supposed to be good at the business side of running the athletic department, this was not a smart decision. I agree that playing Texas may not have had as much national appeal since they, like us, are having a down year. However, I can't see how LSU will sell as many tickets to a game in Nashville as they would've to the Texas Bowl. The fact that we have such a huge alumni presence in the Houston area should've made this a no brainer. Just wait until LSU starts sending out emails begging fans to buy tickets.

I am so sick of this bitching and moaning about the bowl. It is set, get over it. The Tigers are playing one of the iconic programs of college football. Who cares where it is. (I actually love Nashville -- wish I could make it up there.) Get a freaking life, man. Build a model airplane. Tend a garden. Have sex with a girl. Enough with the whiny arse complaining.

The Bowl Gift for the Music City Bowl:

Gift Suite = Yes
Gift = Fossil Watch

Hope they have some good stuff to select from in the gift suite, otherwise the goodie basket is going to be pretty weak.

This coming from the King of bitching moaning and whining?

Once you start to accept mediocrity that's exactly what you'll keep getting. A fan base that acts content and satisfied with the Mediocrity Bowl at 2 p.m. on a Tuesday over a prime night slot in a close to home dome is going to keep getting what it settles for.

Posting this entry on multiple Boards*

As yall can see by the user name, I live here in Nashville. 24 years old and just graduated from grad school at Lipscomb. Thought I'd come on here and give some Recommendations for everyone coming up.

Hotels: Walking Distance
The Omni. Hampton Inn. Renaissance Hotel. Hotel Indigo. Short uber or can away are any hotels located by Vandy.

Nightlife:
Nashville is broken down into 4 night life areas.
1. Obviously Broadway. Honkytonk Central, Tootsies, The Stage, Rippy's, and occasionally Paradise Park (cheap Pitchers), are where I go. However, the new Acme building just opened up and it is incredible. 4 stories, restaurants on all floors and bars everywhere. Typically it's a classier place. It's ok the corner of 1st and Broadway.

Like I said, I'm 24 so I go to Demonbreun St. Most of the time. It's right there near Vanderbilt and Belmont. More of College crowd. Not saying older folks wouldn't have a blast. Tin Toof (my favorite), South, and Dan Mcguiness.

Then you have midtown which is basically walking distance from Demonbreun. Winners and Losers are the best bars in my opinion. Rebar is fun sometimes.

East Nashville- gonna keep this short and say hipster.

Food:
High end classier places.
The Southern, Whiskey Kitchen, San Anejo, Virago, Kayne Prime, Merchants, ACME building.

Hope this helps!! Yall have no idea how excited I am to see the P & G take over Nashville. GEAUX TIGERS

Really getting kind of sick hearing about all of our alumni in the Houston area and how we MUST have more games there...LSU couldn't even sell out their 6000 ticket allotment to the TAM game ! IF, there are soooooooo many fans there HOW can you not get to a game less than 2hrs. away ? pitiful
