1st time poster long time follower .. What's the boards opinion on the possibility we are able to keep Martin or Mickey for one more year to pair with Ben Simmons

Not sure we keep either

I've seen both guys getting mentioned as late 1st rounders on a lot of mocks

They have good seasons I think they've both gone

I actually wish we kept both but with gray and Simmons and hopefully Sampson we are good.

Mickeys gone, he's mentally checked out already. Martin should stay,it depends on how poor his advisors are at what they do. He has so many holes in his game and he's so soft. No way he gets a first rd grade if his play stays at this level. JMHO

If we keep everyone, we are one of the top 5 in the country next season.

Neither of them are ready. Too many holes in both of their skill sets. I think Mick leaves though, but if he decided to stay and we got Antonio Blakeney and JaQuan Lyle, could you imagine our line up?

Josh Grey
Antonio Blakeney
Ben Simmons
Jarell Martin
Jordan Mickey

Bench:
Tim Quarterman
Keith Hornsby
JaQuan Lyle
Elbert Robinson
Aaron Epps
Dominic Magee
Brian Bridgewater
Jayln Patterson

SO STACKED.

Mickey is much more ready than Martin but Martin is more athletic

I only think Martin leaves if he develops his mid/long-range game which he keeps trying oh so hard in doing so.

I'll be jumping up and down if we keep both, because I don't think we keep either.

Sure, neither will be quite ready for the NBA after this season, but that hasn't stopped many others from coming out early.

I think chances of Martin staying is 50/50 with Mickey having about a 10% chance

Probably about 10% of early entrants are "Ready for the NBA", it's a dumb excuse college fanbases uses to hope to hold onto their best players.

I see Martin as 50/50 and a 10% chance of keeping Mickey

Wouldn't have room unless something happened to one of our guards. Only 13 scholarship players.

I hate that this is what college basketball has come down to. You finally get a good recruit and then if he plays up to his hype and has a good year, he only plays one or two years and goes pro.

No longer do we get to see a player stay four years and enjoy how they develop. It's almost like you want them to have a bad year so they will come back. Takes a lot of the fun out of the game for me. I don't like learning all new lineups every year.

Not quite sure I agree with the soft part. What makes you think he is soft? He was a monster down low the past couple of games and he has no problem driving to the basket with aggression.

Only thing he does that's dumb is shoot threes

I would be surprised if either stay. Both staying I think would be very unlikely.

But if they want to do something of significance at the college level, sacraficing one more year and improving their draft resume, they'd stay and with a guy as talented and dynamic as Simmons....they could make history here.
