Would love some new headphones. Preferably wireless with a good amount of bass. Any suggestions? Trying to keep under $200 if possible.

I honestly don't know because I don't listen to hip hop, but I'd take a look at those Beats headphones, especially since Dr. Dre co-founded the product.

Yeah I'm pretty sure the Beats headphones are meant to have inflated bass to appeal to the hiphop crowd.
No idea how "good" they are compared to others. Brands with heavy marketing are generally average quality for high-end price (gotta pay for that marketing somehow).

Beyerdynamic DT 770 and 990s have some heavy base when they aren't paired with an amp. Much like beats, but with better mids and highs

Do they noise bleed bad? Are they comfortable and good for a workout? These seem legit but I don't want to make impulse decisions.

Hip Hop plays to the message that looking like you have something that is more than what you actually have.

You're paying a lot of money only for added Bluetooth with those cans

Holy shite, the non-bluetooth versions are $140 less?

To me they are. My girlfriend said they are terrible for workout.
They go on sale on a regular basis on Amazon. Just last month they were less than $100. The price will probably drop again as we get nearer to Christmas.

770s don't pump bass like beats do. They sound 10000x better overall, but beats own bass between the two.
That being said, I have 770Ms and love them. I don't even know where my beats are.

Got the Sony wireless extra bass headphones btw. They sound great and the bass in unreal. It can be overpowering but you will enjoy it if you're a bass head. Quick question. Does anyone know where to get a case for these headphones? Can't seem to find any. TIA.

I have the beats and the 770s and you are correct, the 770s NEED an amp. With no amp go with Beats.

go plug them into your surround sound reciever or something and report back...they POUND when hooked up to something with more power than an iPhone or computer.
