Negative. This is a little different than I had thought it would be. Seems day trading is the name of this game, not putting together a portfolio.

I'll stop if everyone agrees to go long.

Wasn't really a complaint. Just an observation. I think if we really did have a pot we'd have to have some tighter regulations. 3 day clear period or something. I'm fine with how it is.

Can I just give you real money and you return about 80% like you have done on this? Thanks.

The game is nowhere close to how real trading works. Most of my trades on this game would not be possible IRL. Stocks that can't be shorted IRL can be shorted unlimited in this game. Prices are way off from the real price quotes...as much as a dollar/share at times. And we can use uncollected funds as much as we like.

IRL, there is no way I would have almost $200,000 profits after 6.5 trading days. Take two zeros off and then it's real life day trading with a million dollar + base to start with.

But the game is still fun....

I hear ya, and I agree. It's fun, but completely unrealistic.

Also find what you were saying the other day about volume pretty humorous.

Yep. One of the stocks that's been traded very heavily today by a couple of our players has a total IRL trading volume today (as of this minute) of 64,000 shares. But our two players have traded almost 250,000 shares between them today.

Can you imagine what that kind of volume would do to that stock's price in one day?

You mean I can't do this in real life?

Great I just told my boss to F-off, I'm a trading rock-star!

You might want to go find your boss and tell him "April Fool!"

Another thing I've noticed is if we put in an order, either buy or sell, the order will fill if the IRL price meets, or sometimes just comes close to, the order price regardless whether the trade price was a buy or sell order. That doesn't happen IRL....darn it!

I've learned a shite ton already. Got lucky earlier today and covered on a price that was lower than the day's low...Don't know how that happened, but I likes it.

What I've learned so far is that there's no way in hell you should ever buy and sell "by market price" The only way to do it is put in limit orders right?? The time mine sold for 8.40ish....it only hit that number for like 30seconds...
