If you don't have an injury preventing you and still don't deadlift, you need to start. It will cause all other lifts to increase.

ETA
Start light. Work on your form so you don't hurt yourself.

Its more about form than weights. I know people that do 6 plates total and their form is horrible. They always complain about their lower backs hurting for a week afterwards.

Good overall workout, but if you're new to it, you gotta accept the fact being "macho" about it can actually screw you over.

Nope. Not interested in packing on mass, just want to stay in shape. In my late 30s and mainly do bodyweight stuff and Dumbbells.

I deadlift but stop about half way down. I read that this was best technique in a magazine

I have a bad knee so I've had to scale back on the weight but yes. It's one of if not the best overall exercise you can do

Yes. Don't go heavy, not worth it - I try to focus on the form.

Yes, started recently. Have been focusing on form and lifting relatively light weight until I feel more comfortable.
