I don't know what have happened to him since the UF game but Colby Delahoussaye was nowhere near being consistent for the past few games by continuing to miss easy field goals from 20 plus yards. Should we move on to Gamble from next season?

Delahoussaye was money for most of the season and will probably be fine by the time the bowl game runs around... plenty of time to work out the kinks.

We have a FG kicker coming in next year. Made a 50yarder in high school.

Delahoussaye is a good kicker. Kickers can be just so fragile mentally. He had been awesome for us all last year and all this year up until he missed that chip shot against Ole Miss. Anyone remember Blair Walsh from UGA? Kid was one of the best kickers in the country for two years then just lost his head his senior year and went 21/35 on FGs. He's been a starting kicker in the NFL now for 3 years and was 1st team All pro two years ago. I think Delahoussaye will be fine.

Correct me if I'm wrong, but it seems that the kicks he has missed lately have all been pushed to the right. And he didn't have his usual power on that last FG. Could there be a nagging physical issue of some kind?

He's got to have some sort of nagging injury that he feels he's well enough to perform, but hes thinking about it too much when he gets on the field.

I think he saw the kid in his peripheral and put some extra air on the last kick. Not sure, but it seemed like he intentionally kicked that ball nearly straight up.

Kickers are like relief pitchers. Even the good ones go through their bad stretches, and they can never be trusted to retain their form from year to year.

If we can live with Jennings we can live with our kicker

The initial trajectory made me think the Aggie got a finger on it, but after watching the replay, I think you might be right. He got the kick off quick and he's proven to have a stronger leg than that kick demonstrated.

Exactly. He modified his kick some for fear of it getting blocked. Darn good job imo.

He may have the yips on short field goals much like short putts. Most times I would rather have a 10'-12' putt instead of a 2.5' footer. Remember Steve Sax the second baseman for the Dodgers? All of a sudden he could not make an accurate throw from second to first to save his life.

I think he is fine on the longer field goals but needs to get past the yips on short field goals. He should be fine by the bowl game.

On this team it is easy to see how a kids confidence gets shaky

We need a new special team coach. I am still that CLM made that hire

A bad kicker is just embarrassing. Sit CD's arse until can get his mind right. That's the one position with one job to do. You can't have a single player leaving a TD's worth of points on the field every game.

Honestly, somewhere late in the season, CD started to look like he wasn't logistically 100%. I've got a feeling that was the case. He kicked awfully well that point
