I see Mills leaving, seems like staying another year isn't going to raise his stock unless he has something ridiculous like 15 INT's. He had a lot of promise starting at DBU as a freshman, but he's been an average to slightly above average SEC player the last two years. Who knows, maybe another year at S and he will get better.

Jalen Collins surprised most, if not all, of us this year with his improved play. Kid worked his arse off in the offseason to get better and it paid off. He may see more room for improvement and stick around for another year. He also seems to love college life, and that helps.

Vadal will see that Trai Turner got drafted and is starting, and he will leave, unless the coaches have said they want to move him to LT and he's interested in that, but I don't see that happening. Keep in mind he can also lower his stock significantly by moving to LT and crapping the bed.

Hawkins, if it's true he needs the money then he's gone. He could raise his stock by moving to LT, but he could also lower it too by crapping the bed. He may be content playing RT and making plenty of money to support his family, and you can't fault him for that.

Kwon... This is a tricky one. He's been great for us in his 3 years, but a lot of people feel he's an undersized LB. Another year of muscle and experience could benefit him greatly.

Now, Hunter.... Everyone has seen pictures of him with his shirt off, and everyone has thought that he would have a monster season with a bunch of sacks. Well, he didn't have a bunch of sacks, but he did perform fairly well. Combine his play with what his numbers will be at the combine, and NFL DC's will all be saying they're the one that will make him a hall of famer. He could possibly raise his stock by coming back and having a monster year, but I think NFL execs will see his measurables and that he came from LSU, and he'll be a 1st or 2nd rounder.

Forgot about Dural. IMO he needs to show he can run more than 2-3 routes. If the coaches allow him to receive a draft grade, he should be back, but we've all been stunned by certain guys declaring early before.

IMO, I think we should just expect them all to leave until they stay. It's not just the elite guys leaving early nowadays, it's all who feel they're ready for the NFL. Something we as LSU fans have gotten used to quickly.

And eman, you don't think if Frank does well at Troy that TAF and (hopefully not) Alleva would like the comfort in hiring someone that is familiar with the program, and is also a proven recruiter in Louisiana?

Alot of posters here would love to have Frank as our HC after Les leaves, but realize he needs to go to a smaller program and prove he can actually run a whole program, not just recruiting.

I have two questions for you Ranters:

1. Is this not the perfect time for him to take a job like this? Les seems to only have a few years left in the tank. If Frank goes to Troy and does well, maybe he takes over when Les leaves. If he goes to Troy and craps the bed, maybe he's not the man for the LSI job.

2. If Frank leaves, who do we bring in to replace him? Ed O will probably be a popular name for recruiting coordinator, but what about RB's?

I was driving from Nola to BR when the game started last night, and I was listening to the pregame show on 870, and Les was on there talking about how he didn't know how big of a rivalry this game was until after the Cotton Bowl where we waxed them. Said everywhere he went Tiger fans let him know how happy they were to beat aTm.

A 45 yarder isn't that impressive at all.
