I am worried that the runoff will play out similar to the Virginia election

That is, nobody thinks the race will be close at all, so the only folks that bother to turnout out are the underdog supporters.
Poll after poll showed Warner beating Gillepsie by at least 9 points. Cassidy is leading by even more than that according to recent polls.
I hope to god Cassidy supporters don't get lazy and assume their vote won't matter. I beg of you, LA residents, PLEASE P[LEASE PLEASE don't get complacent.
Landrieu supporters are going to flock to the polls.

I don't know. The Landrieu hate is strong and people seems pretty motivated to send her a strong message.

Political parties are reversed however. There's a GOP surge at the present moment and now Obama is doing an end run on the constitution concerning immigration. With 48% of the nation being against Obama's fiat I would think that would make some republicans even more fired up to vote.

I never understand why people don't vote.

Really? Whether you agree with it or not, theres a pretty obvious reason. No election is ever won by a single vote. People see that and think their individual vote is irrelevant.

Wrong. About four years ago in a local quorum court representative vote in my district, a lady won the election by exactly one vote. My wife and I had planned not to vote but with a few hours left of the polls being open we decided to go vote any way since the lady was a friend of mine.
There were about 900 votes cast, she won by one.

I'm driving from Dallas to La next week to vote early against ML. Not complacent.

I'll pay for your gas to get you there. Send me a bill (you're on your own to get back home). Oh yeah, don't feed me shite about running that high octane stuff either.

The bill won't be bad at today's prices.. I burn the 87 octane and have a fairly efficient car @ 32 mpg.

Done then.

Her antics since the mid term election have me more motivated to show her the door than before. I'm sure I'm not alone.

isn't voting on the 6th, a Saturday?
If that is right it is going to be even easier to vote
I may even camp out the night before, can't wait to get rid of her

To drive down to my polling place after work, it takes a minimum of an hour and a half, plus another 30 minutes waiting in line, then a 45 minute drive home. It basically takes me 3 hours to vote, usually more.

I don't think so. I think there are more like me who are anxious - eager even, to go vote against Piggy - one more time.

I early vote. Dash in and dash out. Takes 15 minutes or less.

Mary's constituency requires 'walking around money.' The DNC has shut her off. No money, no free cheese... no vote.
Hell, she might not have enough money to rent bus drivers.

People better go vote OR SOMEONE might vote in your name.
In California tje Republicans led in four house races when the polls closed and it looks like the cheaters are going to win all four seats.
