Yes the defense has really seem to come together. Miles won't get any credit though because this retarded fanbase says that all the bad is his fault and none of the good is because of him.

The defense has looked great, but I think Miles was overly stubborn in giving Beckwith his chance. He should get "credit" for his unwillingness to change along with credit for the "new product". The similarities between the Jennings/Harris and Welter/Beckwith situations are obvious.

he should get credit and blame for everything.

But if he is making the calls on the defense, then hes a fricking damn good coach. Which is exactly what you are saying.

But then again this goes back to giving credit to cam when the offense does well and blaming miles when it doesnt. Then saying its miles who is holding the defense back, but now its all chavis.

LES MILES is the HEAD COACH. His team, his staff, his players. He deserves credit for every win and every loss, but that is a lil too much for our miserable fricking fan base.

posters in this thread already said he was the one starting welter. Now that beckwith is playing it is because chavis did that.

You see how stupid this is?

If Les is blamed for the O, does he get credit for the Defense?

Without a doubt he has to get some credit for the defense, and they deserve props. Still doesn't change the way I feel about his involvement in the offense though.

No, if anything works, Miles had nothing to do with it.

The defense has performed well since the AU game, and should perform at that level for the entire 2015 season.

Unless several players go on to the NFL. Then we are rebuilding again and looking forward to 2016.

I'm getting tired of this trend.

Still have trouble on 3rd downs, but i fully expect our d to start and finish strong next season with more experience all around. would help if hunter and alexander stay though.

LSU has the best third down defense in the SEC. Not sure why you thought they were having "trouble" but hopefully this cleared things up for you

hey dipshits Chavis was the one that wanted Welter, Les Miles had even said something along the lines that he wanted Beckwith to get more PT early in the season.

I'd like to know specifically who made that call.

If you can prove definitively that it was Miles, then I'll give him credit for that.

The defense has come a long way the last few weeks. Of all the things to be upset about, defense is not on my list.

Are you frickin serious? It was Chavis who had so much confidence in Welter all along. Miles even said at some point that he'd have to "help Chief with that." Miles probably even told Chavis to put Beckwith in at MLB when Chavis had him at DE in 2013 with Louis backing up Welter.

Defense steadily improved in spite of some tough injuries. For that matter, outside of the passing game, the offense improved until they lost Hilliard and Alexander. Fix the passing game to at least be average and this can be a NC contender in '15. Not to get it fixed will mean... well, they won't be a contender if they don't.

Defense has come a long way since Auburn. 33 and 52 made a huge difference and the Godchaux has really come along as well. Props to Chavis for turning it around.

Defense ranked #11 in total D. Offense ranked #111 in passing O. Pretty easy to tell where the gaps are on this team.
