Would you be opposed to drafting Melvin Gordon in the first? He's definitely not a need, but without a doubt the most elite RB coming out of college in years. Also just broke LTs single game FBS rushing record

You have him rated over Gurley?

Would rather a DB but wouldn't be pissed at all.

Yep, but not by much. Gordon just has a certain edge and will about him.

you can pick up a good RB in the 2nd or 3rd round.

You guys need a guard.

Yes, have much bigger needs. We've done a good job finding running backs.

that pats fan speaks more knowledge than someone from our own fanbase.
I agree with this guy right here.

If Ingram leaves in FA, getting another RB becomes an immediate need.
Would love Gordon, dude's an animal

Yeah we need a G but we have huge $$ tied up in the ones we have. They're not going anywhere soon.

I'd definitely argue that. Jahri Evans is probably the worst rated OG in pass protection right now in the league and probably PFF. Although we're running the ball well behind him (I think he's a heavy + on pff), this team is Drew Brees first and his pass protection is directly linked to our success.
After this season, he has 2 seasons left:
2015: 11.0mil cap (5.0mil dead; 6.0mil savings)
2016: 10.2mil cap (1.5mil dead; 8.7mil savings)
Put him as a June 1 cut, the 5mil dead->3.5mil.
We lose 6.5mil and save 14.7mil in cap space over the next two years. If he was playing average, I'd say it would be okay to keep, but his pass protection has been down right horrible that we need someone new or we're not going to be going far in this league at all.

No RB is worth a 1st anymore unless it's a guaranteed Adrian Peterson. Gordon isn't Peterson so yes I'd be opposed.

Depends on the severity of todays injury. But I agree with the other posters, the 1st rounder should defocus on interior line, LBer or CB.
