It's realy sad seeing all of you say that LSU won't win it all next year. LSU is easily the most loaded team in the west next year. The defense has to replace the ends and the offense has to replace two/three lineman but that's nothing compared to other teams in the west. Bama loses 9 of 11 on offense for example. Also our schedule is perfect... 2015 will be special

I'm not completely doubting your truthfulness

But can you show me Alabama loses that many on offense?

03, 07, 11, 15... There seems to be a pattern (not that this has never been pointed out). They did get their asses kicked in 2011 though. WTF am I even saying here

Les Miles will happen. We will lose a minimum of 2 games next season. If Jennings is still the starter, then definitely more. LSU will not seriously compete for a national title as long as Les remains coach.

So the game is won in the trenches and we are going to lose a significant portion of our seniority in the trenches not to mention all-sec talent in the trenches and we are supposed to win it all next year. Not with the QB play we have had this year that is for sure.

With Jennings at QB we will never win a National Title. You need some sort of QB play to win it all in college football. Jennings can't even be considered a game manager at this point because that would be an upgrade.

LSU is reportedly considering a new motto for its football team

"Just wait until you see us next year!"

VERY LONG

I disliked your other thread, but I can kinda get behind this one. I also think we COULD BE the most loaded team as well. We get MSU and Auburn very early, when they will have to overhaul their teams. USCe has a new QB with pretty much zero experience, and their defense would need a LOT of work to be even decent. UF is going through a coaching change, AND we get them at home. We also get Arky and TAMU at home (two teams that will have improved). Our OOC schedule is a joke as well. Not to forget, we don't have any back-to-back away games. What I also like, is that we don't start out with a false sense of security. Three of our first four opponents, are power 5 teams. This gives us a real test of how good we are, right from the start. This schedule sets up very nice for us, and we could very well be 8-0 going into our bye.

LSU
We lose for sure 2 starting OL and likely Vadal so I'll say 3 total. We lose both DEs, both "starting" safeties, Kwon and 1 corner (Collins). We lose possibly, half of the defense. So at most, we lose nine. However, if we can convince Hawkins, Vadal, and Hunter to stay, we only lose 7 starters. That would make us tied with Arky as having the most returning starters in the West. Also, loses in the secondary, aren't as big as they seem, plus, we face mostly, a bunch of green and average QBs next year.

Auburn
They lose two OL. Add in their top 3 WRs, top 2 RBs, top TE, and starting QB (I know Johnson is a much better passer than Nick). On starters alone, they lose eight (I think their base is 3 WRs from Auburn site), just on offense. They lose 3 of their top 4 DTs, and one of their top 4 DEs. They are also likely losing at least two of their starting LBs/Star. Also, they lose at least one starting corner. There are at least 4 starters gone. That's 12 starters that will be gone. Best thing is that we get them at home on game three.

MSU
Loses 3 starters on offensive line plus their starting TE. They lose 2 of their starting WRs (although they are both farther down on receptions). They could also lose Josh Robinson, but I'm pretty positive that Dak and Robinson come back. They lose at least 3 of their starting DL, 2 of their starting LB, both starting safeties, and a starting CB. So they lose at least 6 starters on offense, plus 8 starters on defense, for a total of 14. We get them game two.

Bama
Loses their 3 starting WRs, and 3 starting OL. Also, their "starting" TE, QB and RB. That's 9 on offense. They lose 3-4 on defense, but since I don't know their base, I can't be sure of how many. It looks like they could possibly lose up to 6 given that almost all of them are draft eligible. So Bama sits at AT LEAST, 12-13 starters lost. Bama is Bama, and they usually just reload, but losing Cooper is a major blow to their offense.

Ole Miss
They only lose 3 starters I can see on offense. They lose 5-6 on defense (again, I don't know their base). So they lose at most, nine. Defense won't be as good next year, but doesn't matter, because we don't get them til very late in the year.

Arky
Looks like they lose 3 on offense, and 4 on defense (starters). Johnathan Williams might also leave, but for the most part, they will probably bring back the most starters in the West. They will be good next year.

TAMU
Loses one WR, 3 OL, and a TE for starters. They lose 5 on defense ( ) also. So they lose 10 starters. Your guess is as good as mine on how the defense will develop. I still think they are a year away from being a real contender, but they will be decent in 2015.

USCe
Loses a WR, 2 OL, starting RB, and QB. They only lose 3 on defense (one at each level), but they are so bad this year, I don't expect a complete 180 on how they play, even with the experience. So they lose 8 starters, which is very good, but their backup QBs have barely any experience (like literally 7 passes total between them) which could give them big problems, because neither look that great or run much to help it.

UF
They lose 3 OL, and the TE on offense. On defense, they lose 4-5. Again, since I don't know their base, I'll just go with four. So they lose 8, which is again, good, but it pretty much wipes out their LBs. I am glad we get them at home, because their offense and system, is set up to be huge next year if they can have a decent QB. What I am not sure on however, is how their defense performs after losing Muschamp.

Now let me close this off with saying that I only used seniors and 1st and 2nd round prospects, in my count of starters leaving for every team minus LSU. I won't speculate on guys that are decent draft prospects, and eligible (RS sophomore, true junior) unless it's my team. BTW, I don't see one prospect on LSU's team outside of La'el, that would go first or second. I think Vadal gets a 3rd round grade, Hunter a 3rd or 4th, and all others, a 4th or lower. I just really wish Vadal, Hunter, Hawkins, and even Kwon. won't settle for just 4th round. Somebody has got to convince these guys to stay.

LSU seems to be consistently rebuilding some area while other teams simply reload. Next year LSU has to rebuild the offensive line to block against quality defensive lines and protect a quarterback who already has major happy feet issues and showing no improvement. The defense will more than likely lose a defensive end and a couple of defensive backs. Dejavu
