It's disgraceful that FSU's last ranked opponent will have been their 7th game.

There's a chance that their opponent in the ACC championship game won't be ranked come game time either.
They've had an extremely weak schedule compared to the rest of the Top 10 teams.
Why is no one talking about the chopped liver they've played unimpressively against?
ETA: I think Arkansas could go 8-4 and maybe 9-3 against FSU's schedule.
They won't deserve to be in the playoff.

Because they're the defending champs and will be given a pass until they lose.

There's a reason they've won 25 straight games and are still number 2.

Playing baby shite soft teams?
Marshall is a poor man's FSU this year.

That's still not as bad as it taking 21 games in the Big 10 for Urban Meyer to finally face a top 15 team in the regular season.

Extremely low chance that either Duke or GA Tech isn't ranked inside top 17-25 by then.
Miami has enough to take them out at home this week anyways so I wouldn't start complaining just yet. Yes the ACC is very weak with Clemson down and Va Tech not worth a flip.

Even the teams that are ranked when fsu plays them, are they really any good? Clemson? Notre Dame? Miami? Duke? Louisville? These teams, whether they're ranked or not, are mediocre at best.
If alabama, lsu, auburn, a&m, georgia, ole miss, miss st and maybe even Florida or South Carolina had fsu's schedule I think they'd be undefeated too

that is pathetic as well.

It's why 4 isn't enough for the playoff IMO. All conferences are not created equal. A team from a weak ACC or Big 10 will eventually get in and be pummeled while a deserving team from the SEC or Pac 12 will have to watch from home.
It should be about getting the best 4 teams in. Unfortunately hats hard to determine with such a disparity in schedules. Needs to be 8, that gives the selection crew a margin for error.
Florida State will likely make the playoff based on the fact that they won't lose, however there are 3-5 teams in our league that would be favored over them on a neutral field.
Mississippi State could go 11-1 with their only loss coming to a top 3 Alabama team on the road, they would have beaten 3 teams that finish in the top 25 in that scenario. Can anyone with a straight face say that wouldn't be more impressive than what FSU has done this year? It's just bullshite. I do hope they get in though, and I hope Alabama meets them in the first round, though any scenario where they both end up in the playoff likely means they sit at 1 and 2

Watch more football. FSU can def lose this year and the chances of them winning out pre-play off (reg + ccg) is not better than 60%. Miami at home, vs UF, and the ccg Duke/Tech are all teams they could lose against realistically. If you don't realize that then you haven't watched enough CF in your life time.

I've watched plenty of football
They will be favored in every one of those games, because they are a better team than every one of those teams. I didn't guarantee they'll win out, but the odds are in their favor.

You can be favored in every game and still not be favored to win out because that's how compounding probability works. Anyways even if they still have a 60% chance of winning out that's nothing like the near guarantee you gave.

Really? A&M, LSU, Florida and SC would not be undefeated. LSU wouldn't complete a pass and would drop a few because of that and SC is a mess. A&M would be in a shootout every game and wpuld lose to ND and Louisville for sure. Florida? Really?

They'll be favored, but I think Duke can take them out. FSU is careening around right now and Duke is a very focused team.

FSU's shitty opponents isn't what is disgraceful, how shitty FSU has looked playing them is what is disgraceful.

People do not understand this. If they did, there would be a lot less complaining about "weak" schedules.
