How some of yall forget all the QB controversies in the past decade and speak like we have a decent QB that just hasn't been realized.

And we have two games (against Miss St. and New Mexico State) where Brandon Harris was night and day better than Jennings. So Harris is bad in 1/3 of the games he has meaningful snaps and shouldn't play the rest of the season? But Jennings has been bad in all 11 and so he should be our starter?

against Miss St.
Misleading to think their competition was against the same team.
NMST won their game when they chased the starting QB from the field.
The fact remains that Jennings was outplayed in those two games so I have no problem with them giving Harris another go. Just the excuses and belief he is better is laughable.

Simply not true

B harris helped build this recruiting class, these talented wide receivers that we got based their decision most likely largely on him , they see what's in him, we've gotten glimpses of what's in him, START HIM NOW

Holy shite, he has played worse when given the chance. It is a statistical fact, not an opinion.

This term is so overused.

Against a 2nd string MSST defense and a 2nd half NMST.

You don't remember when Jarrett Lee almost won the Thorpe Award?

Jefferson had 4 passing TD's in the 2010 regular season. Let's not act like he lit it up statistically.

quote:Ok, it is still a Statistical fact he is better then Jennings. Unlike you said earlier. And when he came in agaisnt New Mexico st it was the first half and the game was tied. You act like they had given up

Here is your statistical fact. There is no excuse to complete less than 50% of your passes. It is unacceptable at the high school level yet we have to put up with it here at LSU.
A.)Anthony Jennings 80-170-6 47.1 1266 9
B.)Brandon Harris 25-45-2 55.6 452 6

if the dropped passes were caught there would be a different storyline here today. those 4 were damn KEY to this game.
same could be said of Amari Cooper dropping 2-3 critical 3rd down passes......

Agreed, hence the reservations to play a guy that could barely get over 20% in his only start.
I agree that Harris has the flashes and looks good from time to time. I just don't see how everyone can be so certain that he "can't be worse"
Posted on 11/10/14 at 10:38 am to CharlesLSU
Exactly. Drop passes happen to ALL teams, not just Anthony Jennings and LSU.
Posted on 11/10/14 at 10:41 am to dirtychalupa
Maybe we just need to find a new QB not named Harris or Jennings.
Posted on 11/10/14 at 10:52 am to fightin tigers
No team in the country was beating Auburn that night. They came out on fire. And Jennings didn't exactly light up the scoreboard either when he got into the game(against Auburn's second string)
While I agree with you that Harris could actually be worse than Jennings, Jennings has done nothing to suggest that Harris shouldn't be given another opportunity.
