I realize the answer is probably "yet to be determined" but,for those who attended the Ole Miss game, what's the early results indicate ?

Place was louder than I have ever heard it.

It was loud as shite. Probably top 10 of games I've attended as far as consistent noise levels.

Physics.... basically impossible for it not to be louder.

If it did, the difference is probably very minimal. It was not discernibly louder against OM than it was against Bama or South Carolina in 2012, Bama in 2008, or UF in 2007.
Everybody thinks the last big game they went to was "the loudest they've ever heard the stadium". The reality that OM was just the first game in a while where the entire crowd stayed and cheered the whole game, thus making the stadium "seem" louder.

I've been to a lot of games in my life, and the ole miss game was easily top 2 I've ever been to.

The Ole Miss game was the loudest one I've ever attended. I won't be at the Bama game, but I hope the fans who attend cheer so loud the Blake Sims can't hear himself think!

It was the most consistent noise I've heard in a long time.
Loudest moments that I've been part of were any bama game since '08, Florida '09

It was loud as hell even with 95% filled. Imagine 100% filled for this game, it will be loudest ever!!!

According to Hannagriff and Ott-yes, significantly louder. I personally thought the Ole Miss game was like being in a jet engine. It was almost too much-I couldn't go to bed until 3am because I was so over-stimulated, my heart was racing.

A real time decibel meter would be a great addition. this would encourage the fans to keep trying to increase the noise level.

Yes next question please

I'm a self-proclaimed snob when it comes to TS experiences. The atmosphere was top notch for Ole Miss. Loud as frick.

Well, I couldn't hear the radio broadcast through my headphones and I had it all the way up. I think that it was CONSISTENTLY louder for the Auburn and Florida games in 2007 .. that said, it was LOUD for Ole Miss.
And personally, it took a few days for my voice to get back to normal and my throat to quit hurting.

I got to be on field for Rita Tennessee game and it was so loud. I couldn't hear my brother right next to me when players ran out tunnel. It wasn't any louder than that. I sat in student section in 07 Florida game. Wasn't any louder than that game.
The difference between ole miss game and other games is that higher scoring games are consistently louder. There were times in ole miss game where it was kinda quiet bc we just couldn't score.
07 Florida and 2012 bama were loudest games imo

2007 Florida
Reason why is when they made the announcement that Stanford upset USC that was a plus for both LSU fans & Florida fans allowing the entire stadium to go bananas.
