BD is a Backwoods Bastard. Very nice. I found some today at Calandro's, so you can drink the one you were holding for me.

glad you found some. I really enjoyed it but I'm a sucker for bourbon barrel beers.

SBD: DFH 60 minute. Tastes pretty malty after racer 5 which isn't a super hoppy beer to begin with

FBD - Schlafy Pumpkin Ale with my wife's pumpkin shrimp bisque.

I'm not big into pumpkin beers, but I can appreciate how well-crafted this one is. Got a nice amber malt backbone that's in complementary balance with the spices.

I am developing a taste for them.

I am not a big fan either, but I can appreciate one from time to time. I've never had that one (that I remember). The best one I've had is the Crown Valley Imperial Pumpkin Smash.

I like it a lot. We were first served something similar by S14's wife a month or so ago, and my wife then looked up some recipes online.

Nbd. I agree. It's probably my favorite pumpkin. Mrs Coater enjoys it too which means we will have vertical tastings for generations ala abita strawberry
