Wife and I are going to Cabo at the end November for 10 days. Just looking for some advice on do's and dont's and also some suggestions on places to see, eat, and things to do while we are down there. No fishing but do plan on playing some golf and eating a lot.

Dont talk to anyone in the airport, especially the trap in-between the baggage claim and the exit, unless you want to hear about their time shares.

Dont stay at your resort for food, go out

Drive up to Todos Santos

if you do go here is some solid advice, as you're leaving the airport do NOT buy beers from the stands out front, there's a little grocery store about a half a mile down the road towards the resorts, get the driver to stop there and you can get a case for about one airport beer costs, you will be the hero of the van

I was there the week before the hurricane hit. I had a great time. Stayed at a resort on the beach in Cabo San Lucas. It was the Sandos which is right next to the marina as well.

We paid a water taxi a few bucks to take us to the Arch which was cool. The resort was all inclusive but we still wanted to go off and try some restaurants in town. Patagonia was a really good Argentine steakhouse with great service. Went to Maro's Shrimp House, which is a little touristy, but the lobster and shrimp were real good.

Drive to La Paz and go snorkling with whale sharks.

Take a water taxi out to snorkel at Pelican Rock (or walk at low tide).

If taking a cab, get the driver to agree on a price before getting in. Some of the cab drivers can be shady.

Change your reservation to www.capellapedregal.com as fast as you can. Hands down one of the top resorts in this part of the world.

Hacienda Cocina y Cantina is a great dinner spot with an excellent view. The Bar Esquina is a pretty chic spot with good appetizers and drinks.

Corazon de Alachofa ( The Artichoke Heart) is top notch, grilled artichoke appetizer and some of the best Shrimp pasta I have eaten.

Stay away from El Farallon at Capella Pedregal bland food that costs a fortune( only negative about this place).
