Beats headphones. Is it ok...

Not trying to make this a race thing. Is it considered trashy or thuggish for a normal white dude to wear Beats by Dre headphones? From what I've seen in commercials and whatnot they look pretty nice. Kind of want some for the gym and running. I'm sure this won't go how I want it to, but oh well

People bash them a lot but I have the matte black ones and I love them. They sound great and you wouldn't know they were beats unless you got real close. The all white ones look trashy IMO.

Headphones are over hyped & over priced IMO
I do use the Beats earbuds instead of over the ear headphones for our radio show.

Just get yourself some David Clark's and you'll be good to go. Why would you both with beats if you can wear Clarks?

OK everywhere except the NFL. They have a contract with Bose. Someone got fined last week (maybe Kaepernik ?) .

So you want on-ear, over-ear, earbud, or in-ear? In any instance, you can very likely find a nicer/better pair for the money, or a similar quality pair for significantly less money.

I had a Beats/Bose discussion with a black guy I used to work with. I told him I liked the Bose better because they fit completely over my ears and the Beats seemed like they played music almost outward to where everyone around me could hear what I was listening to. He informed me that was part of the allure of the Beats headphones...to annoy people around you with your shitty music.

You can do much better than beats for the price. That is unless you are going for the "urban" look.

i own them. i love them. i am white. i've been traveling a lot and they are great for plane rides and drowning out chatty assholes on flights.
