Go refinance at a Credit Union. Under 3% on 5-6 yrs should be EASY. Dont do 79 months again. No No No. In 2010 I was able to get 2.1%/6yrs with 0 down on a 725 score from a credit union. Rates have gone up some, but I still think you can find under 3%.

Really? Who buys a Chevy Traverse?
Posted on 10/27/14 at 11:15 pm to KosmoCramer
Yeah when I bought my jeep best my credit Union could do was like 3.2(I think). And I actually wanted GAP insurance and extended warranty on mine. Finance dept offered me 1.8% if I purchased both and went through Wells Fargo (it was some deal they had agreed with wells Fargo about).
So for the same price I would have paid for the higher apr....I was able to get GAP and extended warranty.

not sure - but had I known they would LIE to my face REPEATEDLY, I would have never step foot in there. So my expectation is that other people looking for a car don't bother for fear of being scammed.
I could have walked out - but I didn't, and I suspect there are a lot more people who leave happy, never knowing they got bent over.

Yea, when he said 79 months I was in shock. He started it off with 7ish% and 79 months, and I guess that just put me in a daze (my own fault).
For some reason, I rationalized the ridiculous term by saying - oh well - more reason to pay it off ASAP!
It is not so much about the money, but more about the principle. I'm not very caring, but if they are scamming me on this, how many others are they scamming?
With a straight face. The guy also said a few other things, that in hindsight were obvious digs at me - almost rubbing it in that he just bent me over - i should have known better

Pentagon federal: 2.59% for 72 months, takes about 20 minutes online and you don't even need to talk to a human being. A check will be at your door next day.

You're obviously waiting for someone to ask what dealership so you can put the in blast
So
What dealership?

How exactly were you scammed?
Did you not want the extended warranty? You shouldn't have bought it if you didn't want it. Nor the car for that matter. And damn. 79 months!

I've dealt a bit with Brian Harris, no problems there for me on those occasions.

Thats pretty cheap money for a car loan over a long period of time, even if there may be a TINY bit better out there.

scammed by being mislead - was told the warranty was REQUIRED for the lower interest rate
I'd post the dealership, but I'm not sure if I can do that without getting banned
There are plenty places for me to place a negative review. I want to start with the dealership, to let them know my intentions first.

Well was it required?
I mean did you not see my post? I was offered 1.8% if I purchased a warranty. Again....it was a deal they had with Wells Fargo.....Wells Fargo gets the loan...they get an extended warranty sale.

You don't get it. They fricked him with a $2,000 extended warranty that he expressly agreed to. Total screw job.

cheap money and cheaper money - it is not about the money, but the fact this this guy LIED to me and my wife multiple times. With a smile!
If I blatantly lied to only better my position, I would be fired. I consider someone who does that absolute scum, no different than a rapist. I know you all may disagree, but in my mind, honesty is #1.

Well duh, that was retarded because it would never influence your credit rating, but he also was bitching about the rate he got and it wasn't bad.
He has the warranty so he might as well use it on EVERYTHING right before it is up. they aren't bad deals if you are willing to frick them over. I have a friend that hasn't paid for new speakers from Best Buy in 17 years by blowing them right before the warranty is up.
ETA: I agree it sucks to be fricked over, mostly I was trying to be cool and make you feel better about the situation.

it was implied that it was required
After further review of the contract, it is NOT required
- looks like a lot of these folks don't mind being lied to
