Auburn has the best opponent record with UGA in the mix. UA would likely be next I think because Florida will likely finish higher then UK due to h2h.

It's not best opponent. It's combined conference records of BOTH opponents. Right now, Auburn's opponents have 5 losses, and LSU's have 6 losses.

LSU played Florida too, by the way.

LSU's road to the SECCG would most likely require a 4 way tie at the end of the season.

I know it's a long shot, but here is one possible outcome:

LSU (3-2) - Obviously, win remaining schedule. (6-2)
Ole Miss (4-1) - (L) 11/1 AU, (W) 11/22 Ark, (W) 11/29 MSU. (6-2)
Miss.St. (4-0) - (W )11/1 Ark, (L ) 11/15 Bama, (W) Vand, (L ) 11/29 OM. (6-2)
Bama (4-1) - (L) 11/8 LSU, (W)11/15 MSU, (W) 11/29 AU. (6-2)
Auburn (3-1) - (W) 11/1 OM, (W) 11/8 A&M, (L) 11/15 UGa, (L ) 11/29 Bama.(5-3)

W/L record among tied teams
LSU 2-1 ...... 1-0.......SECCG
OM 2-1 ...... 0-1
MSU 1-2
Bama 1-2

Not at all miraculous anymore. Pretty realistic tbh. Ole Miss is better than Texas A&M and Arkansas and on par with Alabama.

BCS rule got replaced by best SEC East opponents combined record - which seems kinda b.s. to me. Just replace BCS with AP.

I kinda like that. It gives an advantage to a team who plays tougher cross-division opponents. In the end, though, I still think 1 team outright wins the west.

There is a legit chance of a 5-way tie atop the west...
All at 10-2...

If LSU miraculously wins out, Ole Miss drops 1 more...
Bama and Ole Miss drop State...
Bama beats Auburn...

How does LSU get in?

This particular 5 way tie is actually tied all the way down to the G tiebreaker.

So what if Bama Miss St and LSU are in a 3 way tie for 1st?

1) Miss St needs to lose to Arkansas, Alabama and Ole Miss

2) Ole Miss needs to lose to bama

3) Auburn needs to lose to Georgia and Bama

4) Bama needs to lose to LSU

5) LSU wins out

That would make LSU win the tiebreaker against Alabama and Ole Miss and would be the SEC West Champion

MSU lose to Alabama and Ole Miss
Not enough for LSU. Miss St has to have 3 losses for LSU to move ahead of them since they have the head-to-head tiebreaker.

Ole Miss loses to presbyterian, State to vandy and UTM, Auburn to Samford and sons, we beat Bama. Book it.

It would go to a tiebreaker that would have the highest ranking BCS team the winner. BUT there is no more BCS so I do not know...

Maybe it would devolve to the WL of combined opponents or common opponents. Dunno.

Not necessarily. In the 4 way tie with LSU, Bama, Ole Miss and Miss St @ 6-2:

1st tiebreaker is head-to-head vs all co-champs.

Miss St would be 1-2 (W vs LSU, L vs Alabama and Ole Miss). out

Alabama would be 1-2 (W vs Miss St, L vs LSU and Ole Miss). out

LSU would be 2-1 (W vs Ole Miss and Alabama, L vs Miss St).
Ole Miss would be 2-1 (W vs Miss St and Alabama, L vs LSU).

With Alabama and State both out, you then go to head-to-head and LSU advances due to win over Ole Miss

I don't think that is correct. But okay if you say so....

No, it's right. While it's true we lose the head-to-head against MSU, bringing in Ole Miss and Bama to the tie helps us out, since in this scenario, we would've beaten both of them while MSU would've lost to both. The first tiebreaker for three or more teams is head-to-head against all teams involved, which would go as above.
