GOP should try to lose the mid-terms on purpose

Yesterday's WSJ has an opinion piece mocking the new left wing analysis first advanced by the NYT and then oft repeated. It goes like this:
If the GOP takes the Senate and holds the House it will be REALLY BAD for the GOP:
a. It will give Hillary the chance to run against an unpopular Congress now controlled totally by Republicans and ensure her landslide victory.
b. With low Dem voter turnout the GOP will falsely assume that the majority of Americans are with them now and they will overreach on legislative initiatives. This will cause a huge backlash in 2016 resulting in the Dems taking the WH, the Senate and the House.
So, if the GOP knows what's good for them they will lose the elections on Nov. 4.
Makes perfect sense.

Media is already applying teflon to hillary's backside so she can slip past the obama connection. IMO doesn't much matter what congress looks like in 2016.

Agreed ... except for Supreme Court appointments.

I hope and pray the Dems nominate Hillary. She's so fricking unlikable and has a fricking graveyard of skeletons in her closet.
If the Dems have a shred of a brain, they will put someone else on the ticket.

Only problem with Billary's skeletons is that the media lacks the nuts to bring them out.

Good point.

I was beginning to worry that I was the only person on planet Earth that didn't see the "inevitability" of a successful Hillary nomination, much less actually winning the general election.

Republicans are going to lose seats in 2016 either way. They'll have more to lose and more republicans will be up for reelection.
They should try to appeal to the majority of their constituents and win the elections.

I don't see the media attacking her but maybe other dems seeking the nomination will do the work. We know Joe Biden has no brain filter. I can see him calling her a liar.

Here's the thing.
Obama has demonstrated two things during his political career:
a) he's all about himself, and frick everyone else;
and,
b) you better not cross him, or there will be Hell to pay.
Hillary cannot just try to avoid Obama's stain, she has to outright repudiate/attack him to distance herself from him. She already tried to do this through Pinetta on ISIS and look at how he was attacked. It will get UGLY for her and Bill between now and the primaries.

I feel an analogy coming on.
LSU fans should hope that the Tigers lose to Ole Miss by 50 points tomorrow. And then LSU should lose every game for the rest of the season.
This will result in LSU firing Les Miles and getting 'a good coach'. Then, when the 'good coach' is hired LSU will win the national championship every year.
And, if you don't think their are LSU fans who think this way you need to get out more. I've met them IRL.

That's her dilemma. In 2008 hillary and barry were more or less the same candidate. She has to show herself not representing four more years of the same policies while not attacking obama. I don't know how she pulls it off.

it's well known that the obamas and Clintons fricking hate each other

I don't believe Bill will ever forgive the obama people for painting him as a racist in 2008. and barry probably hates the way bill is still worshipped by the dems. They dislike each other but they share the same dream for the country.

Except for whole DC is a shitshow dumpster fire and no matter who's elected nothing good will come from it.......so there's that and I'll leave that right here.

Even better.
The Dems have done so well running unapologetic liberals from Massachusetts for President.

Crazy thought here, but with Reid's worthless arse out of the way Congress might actually accomplish something.
I'm not saying the Republicans will accomplish anything but the do nothing congress is as much the Senate's fault as anything.

its not going to happen. The republicans whole schtick is obama sucks. if they actually give him legislation and god forbid he signs it, it takes away that.
the next two years will have even less than the last 2 years legislation wise.
