Scoring more points... all we have to do is score more points than they do & we will win the game!
This, and only this. Sound logic.

I wish they'd bring it back!

Win the line of scrimmage on both sides of the ball. If we can run the ball, we can win the game. Control the clock and allow the D to rest so they can get after Bo Wallace and run sideline to sideline.
Then the D line applying pressure and containing Wallace. Keeping blockers off the linebackers too.

1. Turnovers
2. Special teams play (short fields for us, long for them).
I don't think we can count on the offense to pull off many 80+yrd drives on Ole Miss' defense at this stage (though they may surprise us). Similarly, we have to keep them inside their own 30 on kickoffs and punts.

So every play? Or do you expect them to come out in a base dime defense to try to slow our juggernaut passing game?

Ole Miss d-line is small. yes, they are strong and athletic but so is LSUs o-line. Difference is, LSU's o-line is BIG, strong and athletic. LSU outweights them by close to an avg of 40lbs per man.
Bama is the closest o-line Ole Miss has faced to LSUs (although LSUs is better) and the Rebs gave up 168 on the ground.
I can promise you LSU will be more comitted than Bama to running the ball and will NOT throw the ball 14 times in the second half if they have a lead.
IF LSU is to win this game they have to have success running right at Ole Miss. Their TEs have to have some success in the second level as well. Alot of Ole Miss TFL against Bama came on missed blocks in the 2nd level.

It's simple...
An effective passing game to open up a run game that will wear down and put the game away in the 4th

Easy. Death Valley being Death Valley. That makes everything else happen as it should.

this... Defense has to keep this one close and allow the offense to pound away. Throwing the ball is not the key to winning this game, it only plays into Ole' Miss' hands. They haven't been punched in the mouth yet like they will on Saturday night. Let's see how they respond.

We fans must defend Tiger Stadium reputation as loudest anywhere, to keep Tigers inspired and to frustrate teddy bears and make them cry.
