One of the best scenes ever.
Every single time I hear that song I sing it in my head as if I am on that bus.
Amazing
Best movie on the list by far, and also the only one worth a rewatch or 100

Almost Famous is in my top 10 favorite films. It is an absolutely perfect movie as far as I'm concerned. If you identify with music or the past at all, you should love it. One of my absolute favorite movies.
Totally agree. It's funny, interesting, cool feel-good scenes, some harshness, and excellent acting.

No body knows what rock and roll is...accept maybe Pete Townsend

quote:Well frick. I have both teed up ready to watch. I'll watch Mulholland because more people ranked it above BV.
Mulljolland drive is enjoyable because naomi watts performance is mesmerizing...As a movie it doesn't compare to blue velvet which actually has a plot.

By the time Mullholland Drive came out I was already, like thanks David, You've done this movie a few times now. And each time stretch a little more to a level of absurdity to see what you can get away with. Wild at Heart, Twin Peaks:Fire Walk with Me, Even Lost Highway are better if Lynch's surrealism is your thing.

Yeah, Almost Famous really does stand out on the list, and if say it should almost without question be the final film he watches. Almost Famous is a happy and cool film, and really stands out from those other choices. Don't know how anyone can't be happy after the Tiny Dancer scene.

Doesn't matter what order you watch them in. David LynchvWorld is outside of time as we know it.

No one, except maybe David Lynch, understands that movie.
This is simply not true. Lynch gave clues (publicly) which can be followed. Hell, I can tell you who the portrait in the background of Aunt Ruth's house is of, and how it relates to Diane's (not to be confused with Betty) molestation. Name a question you have unanswered and ,more than likely, I can explain.

Still waiting, no bo. But good, pretty damn good, about halfway through.

A wide selection of movies and styles. IMO, everyone of them has something going for it. Worth watching all of them.

I don't think anyone knows what the frick Mulholland is, not even Lynch.
It's a hell of a ride though and worth the experience .

Solid line up.
Blue Velvet - For me, its easily the best of the 5. Dennis Hopper's performance is simply unforgettable.
Mullholland Dr - One of the mysterious movies I've seen. Its a little slow at times but acting, especially from Watts, and all the Lynchy weirdness keep it interesting.
Requiem for a Dream - This and Blue Velvet are some disturbing arse movies. I am NEVER...EVER going to do heroin in large part thanks to this movie.
Almost Famous - Easiest and most enjoyable watch of all movies listed. Funniest too but the others are not at all funny.
Into the Wild - The least enjoyable of the group IMO, 2.5 hour movie that drags.

Looks like I may skip Into the Wild and just watch the other four, based on the recs and opinions I've read. I'll be sure to report back once I've watched them all.

What the frick did I just watch? Was this a prank? Is Ashton Kutcher going to jump out and laugh at me for watching this? It's like, good much potential about halfway through, then goes slow and fubar for the rest. What a shite show.
frick you all.
frick you all.

I think I'm going to watch Mulholland first, then do Requiem/BV 2nd and 3rd (or vice-versa), then Almost Famous. Kinda nervous about watching Requiem based on the comments here

The lynch films are a cut above the rest.
