If you are not afraid of ebola, why are you afraid of global warming?

Hear me out:
I feel like a lot of liberals are downplaying the ebola outbreak and its potential to spread havoc. Libs say that the a widespread ebola outbreak is nothing to worry about- that its not imminent or dangerous.
Shouldn't they be using the same logic for global warming? If anything, the logic should be reversed. Global warming's effects are largely invisible (aside from data in a spreadsheet)and its purported effects are far off in the future whereas ebola is on our doorstep (hell it's in our house) and its effects are tangible.
Note: I put very little thought into this. Let me know if I'm onto something.

Because they're told to be afraid of one and not afraid of the other.

You certainly aren't afraid of trying to make a dumb analogy out of 2 completely unrelated issues with different sets of facts.

The Democrats haven't figure out a way to make money off of Ebola just yet.

Cause climate change is killing all the polar bears and bambi.
Ebola is just killing the polluters who are killing the planet

I was merely comparing the hysteria or, lack thereof, for two issues that are supposedly gonna kill a lot of people.
I'm just trying to understand the liberal mind's cognitive dissonance.

It's not worth the loss of brains cells.

Let me ask you some questions...
According to conservatives, the MSM = liberals. And the MSM is hyping this Ebola nonsense as much as conservative hacks trying to make this a political issue.
So if the MSM = liberals, why is the MSM married to conservatives here?
Next question... if Y2K, Sars and GW were media driven scare agendas, why isn't Ebola?

True. They are totally unrelated. Ebola exists. Global Warming does not. But Dos Manos is correct about political reaction. So, it's a fair analogy.

MSM only cares about making money. Selling fear generates the most money for the MSM. And Democrats know all about exploiting people's fears, i.e. war on women, "they wanna put you all back in chains", racism, poor people will die, the oceans will rise, they want to probe your womb, etc. etc. So the interests of the MSM and Democrats overlap a lot.

Maybe it is. Still doesn't explain the dissonant reactions between ebola and global warming.
