This is being dug up in an attempt to manufacture an October Surprise for the Mid Term election.

It is well known that old chemical weapons were found in Iraq.

I think not widely known would be a better term than secret.

Yes, Chalabi verified as well.

This is what you do: you get WMD which is basically defensive weapons to repel invasion, you warn the threatening would be invader that you will use them, then on the eve of invasion, you quickly truck all your defensive weapons out the country so then your invaders walk in, capture you and hang you! Brilliant!

This, all the while your enemy has complete control of the skies such that they could easily blow to smithereens these weapons... But they don't!

Instead your enemy gets humiliated for all of history for invading a country for no reason, and your enemy could clarify history and vindicate the invasion but it's leader refuses to do so!

And in the end, the only person who believes it is a guy on a message board who believes JJ was our best chance at victory in our national championship game.

THE END

Just read it. So basically yes to my question.

Most were in ruins and couldn't be used in their original function, but could still be employed in a makeshift fashion.

Bitches were throwing up some kind of chlorine crap with IED's at American soldiers in Diyala during the Surge. I don't know if they ever found out what the sources of that were, but that definitely happened.

Thank you! Thank YOU!

There has never been a breaking news story since 2008 on this board that didn't include at least one post claiming it's a conspiracy by Obama and/or the Democrats. I really thought this might be the first.

But you sir proved me wrong.

It's a conspiracy!

Apparently he could use them as U.S. troops were "wounded" by them. Just because you don't have a delivery system for them doesn't mean you can't use them on the Kurds.

There were old degraded stockpiles. There were no WMD of the type and quality sold to the public in the lead up.

Could you link me to

A) George Bush claiming these WMDs were shipped to Syria.
B) any sports columnist or coach or scout except for Miles who believed JJ should have played 4 quarters.

Thanks in advance.

"Saddam Husayn ended the nuclear program in 1991 following the Gulf war. ISG found no evidence to suggest concerted efforts to restart the program."

"While a small number of old, abandoned chemical munitions have been discovered, ISG judges that Iraq unilaterally destroyed its undeclared chemical weapons stockpile in 1991. There are no credible indications that Baghdad resumed production of chemical munitions thereafter."

"In practical terms, with the destruction of the Al Hakam facility, Iraq abandoned its ambition to obtain advanced BW [biological warfare] weapons quickly. ISG found no direct evidence that Iraq, after 1996, had plans for a new BW program or was conducting BW-specific work for military purposes."

From the article:
quote:

By 2006, the American military had found dozens of these blister-agent shells in Iraq, and had reports of others circulating on black markets, several techs said. Tests determined that many still contained mustard agent, some at a purity level of 84 percent, officials said.
Had these results been publicly disclosed, they would have shown that American assertions about Iraq’s chemical weapons posing no militarily significant threat were not true, and that these dangerous chemical weapons had Western roots.

I would be willing to bet that is why the info was covered up.

Also Saddam was actively keeping out US and UN inspectors which might have told us that and that alone was a breach of the cease fire and justification of military action.

To the OP: I read about half the article because I have to go to bed now, but the lack of medical care and coverup there is disturbing. There needs to be an investigation into that to see if it is true.

The man who served as the no. 2 official in Saddam Hussein's air force says Iraq moved weapons of mass destruction into Syria before the war by loading the weapons into civilian aircraft in which the passenger seats were removed.

The Iraqi general, Georges Sada, makes the charges in a new book, "Saddam's Secrets," released this week. He detailed the transfers in an interview yesterday with The New York Sun.

"There are weapons of mass destruction gone out from Iraq to Syria, and they must be found and returned to safe hands," Mr. Sada said. "I am confident they were taken over."

Mr. Sada's comments come just more than a month after Israel's top general during Operation Iraqi Freedom, Moshe Yaalon, told the Sun that Saddam "transferred the chemical agents from Iraq to Syria."

there were also documents uncovered by Wikileaks
