Other teams can win and have good QB play. They are not mutually exclusive.
And outside of 2011, his winning percentage, especially within the conference isn't all that special

I would LOVE a game manager, we don't even have that.

Which mod is trying to push their own agenda?

This. All of the other comments in this thread are imbecilic. Cam likes to pass more than run. There is a reason its not happening

Trevor Knight didn't have a "heap better" of a game than Jennings did today.

Your just grasping straws dude. The only sec coach I'd trade with him as far as what counts an that is wins is saban. National nobody. He's had tons of success an he gets no credit for it with people who can't see it cause he doesn't throw it 40 times a game. He still believes in the basics an it wins .

You can win against bad teams playing offense like tonight(if they have turnovers and drop to passes), but have no chance against better teams.

I don't expect 40 passes a game, but really, is completing 50% of passes on a regular basis an unrealistic expectation?

With the current level of skill and experience if LSU, you're correct. Cam didnt suddenly forget how to coach

I thnk Harris is going to be more than functional before he leaves LSU. He is going to be big time just give him a little time. It's going to come together for him. He was on to big a stage for him against Auburn but he'll get over it. Also Jennings is serviceable. Need to put them in better situations. I really thought Cam was going to bring more to the team than what he has. The I formation as a base offense is not doing the QB's any favors.

They basically are trying to make them learn two complete offensive systems instead of sticking with I or spread. Hence the young QB's struggling

Why can't everyone just enjoy the win?

Hes 10000% correct

This one year and one time I am going to have to agree with the conservative play calling. We don't have a quarterback or offensive line that can deal with anything else.

Hutson mason and DJ shockley stayed four years without playing. You're going to be hard pressed to find that on a regular basis.

Not easy to explain--it's certainly one of Miles' flaws. I think the biggest reason is just the nature of the position--it's hard to predict. Florida is on the same level as LSU and they've missed on everybody since Tebow. It's hard to predict. And only 1 really plays. Combine that with the egos that usually have to go in to a successful QB, and you've got people transferring after the 1st hint they won't start for 3 years. Because of the egos and the fact that only 1--hopefully--plays, the nature of the position lends itself to this.
Agreed. That's why every team in the country has no quarterback production 7 out of every 8 years.

You keep saying "a school like LSU"--I think - school like LSU probably is able to recruit guys who want to be the man. Once they realize they aren't, they bail. Often, too soon. I. Not excusing Miles and staff. Like I said earlier, this is a flaw in the staff. But who are all these programs that just keep rolling QBs in and out with little to no drop off? I posit they don't really e
Right again. It's not like Baylor or Oregon or Oklahoma or Alabama or Stanford or Georgia or Oklahoma State or Oregon or anyone else has ever managed to have more than one good year of QB performance every eight years.

Oh look, total and complete fricking bullshite! Miles has recruited one competent major college quarterback to LSU. When he has Mett last season, the offense thrived. Miles has to settle for game managers otherwise because he consistently fricking fails to recruit or develop the position.
