Best stop in Scott, get a few links of boudin, a sleeve of crackers and a root beer and eat in the truck

Crispy Cajun in Bunkie. Plate lunch, shrimp poboy or catfish dinner.

Not your Mama's Cafe in Livonia
Kartchner's in Krotch Springs for beer and boudin

If you do the long way via Lafayette, go to Julien's on University. Their homemade potato chips and po boys are better than snuff.. And not half as dusty...

If you decide to take LA 1 to Alec, Hot Tails in New Roads is damn good too.

Between BR and Alexandria?
Better, and much closer the route would be Billy's in Opelousas....Same lunch choice but forget the crackers. Maybe a $3 bag of cracklins though.

--The Palace Cafe in Opelousas: old school lunch counter kinda place. Plain food, not fantastic or mind blowing, but good solid small town food in a retro setting.
