Pep should be #4, move Jose, Simeone & the jumpsuit up
Edit: Maybe 5 behind Ancelotti, but that team was stacked last yr

He is better at navigating the nuances of fortune in knockout football rather than the deeper, more thorough nature of a league campaign.
The type of hard-hitting analysis I expect from a journalist. Ancelotti spends the first part of the season in Ranieri mode. It's not some "deeper" competition that escapes him.

pep was the manager of the best side of the 21st century, a side clearly molded in his unique tactical image. certainly deserves to be no lower than 2nd on any top manager list. simeone and rodgers are far too high based on their experience level.

Or what about Martinez? I like him, but he won an FA Cup and was relegated.

Pochettino above Wenger. Nothing to see here.

All true...
Guess I looked at it in today's view with current teams. Pep was revolutionary over that 4-year period...just don't know if he can still be near that level from here on out...I certainly hope so though!

Arsene should be about 15th, so he's not too far off.

Debatable. The Bayern team two years ago was pretty good.
Pep is a one trick pony and his trick has largely been figured out. It doesn't really matter when the talent gap his so large in the vast majority of games he manages but I think he'll continue to struggle when he goes up against the elite sides of Europe.

Making it to the UCL semi's is and being knocked out by the eventual champs is continuing to struggle. We know you hate pep but come on.

Have they sacked the people responsible for that list yet? If not, they should.

we're not talking a one off team. that team both won all the trophies multiple times and left by far the biggest impact tactically and culturally of any club in recent memory.
