Reggie Bush stats. People said he underachieved.

I think that he is doing a good job of "feeling his way" through the first couple of weeks.
I never hold too high of expectations of rookie receivers. It's a pretty big adjustment (as is corner).

Was expecting more throws juuuust a bit further down the field.
Other than that the kid has looked good so far.

I think I was yes, but I also think my expectations were completely unreasonable. Also, a lot of my expectations were based on what we heard coming out of camp, and since we also heard coming out of camp that the defense was looking A.MA.ZING, we all know what that's worth.

his hands are better than I expected but he hasnt shown any playmaking ability yet.

yes, but I blame the offensive play calling and Drew, not Cooks. Teams see that fricking bubble screen coming from a mile away, yet we resort to it over and over

I think the routes will change if Payton gets comfortable with our oline. Right now, we kind of need him to get open near the LOS since we can't block for dick
He's really good on that outside comeback route. I thought he'd be better at making people miss though

Yeah his hands are amazing. He's made some grabs where I thought holy hell how did he do that?

I'll be honest, I'm a tad disappointed.
I guess I'm waiting for that Sproles/Bush moment, where he makes one guy miss and just burns rubber for a TD. Or something like a double move and just blows the top off the safety for some 60-70 yard TD.
For all of the vine videos we saw this offseason, it just seemed like he'd have a couple of those huge gains, but hasn't really had one yet.

He kinda had one of those in the preseason, but I guess that doesn't count.

I agree. He really does a great job of getting open though. 4th in receptions as a rookie WR is pretty damn good.
He only has 2 deep targets all year.
15 first downs too

Was I expecting more? Yes
Am I disappointed? No
I think we all are waiting for him to make a huge play. All the justification for going with wr that early was bc we lacked big playmakers. We could have gotten a possession receiver for much less cost.
That being said, soo early you cant be negative about. Just accept your homer medicine and keep high hopes. Still time in the season for some breakout plays. Add to that wr's usually are 2 yr things, and we have time sons
We knew he had speed, and we know he has really great hands now. That's enough for me not to be disspappointed for sure.

Teams are keeping everything in front of them.
If we start really running the ball, the big plays will open up.

Jesus, the guy is 5 weeks into his rookie season. The O-line can't pass block for shite, and Brees hasn't been sharp. Premature worries are premature.

I'm expecting a breakout game from him soon. Like 150+ yards and 1-2 tds. He's still only 21 years old playing against seasoned vets. His potential is still through the roof.

I don't think anyone is worried. I'm trying to see if majority of the board expected more, less, or about right there from him.
Posted on 10/7/14 at 6:26 pm to htran90
If I thought a player wasn't producing what I expected him to, there would be some worry. Either way, the guy has played 5 professional games, and has made a few plays. Let's relax.

Yes but we're using him like Lance Moore instead of Desean Jackson.
