Winning hides a lot of problems. Losing not so much.

TL:DR. You have ten years of on-field game results to cite. Why don't you just summarize your argument and back up your opinion with those results?

Please don't bring in Chizik. He also was the head coach of a team that went 0-8 in SEC play. Also, check the record of Malzahn's #2 finish. He went 12-2 with a close loss in the championship game. In his other loss, he was beat by 2 td's. Miles went 13-1 and dominated everyone on the schedule except for BAMA at BAMA, and in the championship game. In the championship game, I also feel no one would have beaten BAMA that night.

Just because I haven't taken to the Rant to voice my displeasure doesn't mean I haven't done it all this time via other means.

I'll respond in kind...since you start the post stating that you've never liked them man, I have no interest whatsoever in considering your argument in this case. You poisoned the well before you made one argument.

I appreciate your honesty, really...but I don't care at all about the opinion of a person that stats an argument by saying he never liked a person and here's why his initial feelings were true... I can;t help but believe that you have spent the better part of the last decade registering hits while ignoring misses in an attempt to bolster an argument you made before you had data point one in hand.

So you are telling me 2004 was some horrible season?

It was a 3 loss season. What miles.gets called out for.
Miles did not inherit a top 5 or top 10 program. Since 1987 lsu had 1 season of 2 losses or less. ONE SEASON. Since 1987 lsu has has 5 seasons of less than 2 losses. MILES HAS 4 OF THEM

What do you not understand? Since 1987 lsu has 5 seasons where the team lost 2 games or less. Miles coached 4 of those.

It was worded kind of poorly but it was clearly what he meant. I'll go one further.

Since 1970 LSU has lost 2 or fewer games 10 times. Miles has 5 of those.

1972: 9-2-1
1985: 9-2-1
1987: 10-1-1
1996: 9-2
2003: 13-1

2005: 11-2
2006: 11-2
2007: 12-2
2010: 11-2
2011: 13-1

Under Miles, LSU has won 50% of its seasons with 2 or fewer losses since Richard Nixon was still in his first term as President of the US.

Yes it is. I was talking about the program Miles inherited. 1 season with 2 or less losses.
Then I stated how many seasons lsu has had 2 losses or less since Miles was hired , since 1987.

To the young offensive player discussion I'll add this
The miles offense is one where, like the nfl, almost every play requires players to beat their man in order for the play to be successful. In other words we rarely beat people with X's and O's prior to a play which requires linemen, recievers, rb's and qb's to beat their man every play. When you have younger guys or less talented guys, the offense suffers. When you have Mett OBJ and Landry, who are capable of making plays when the receiver is NFL open, the offense will thrive.

Lulz??? Great rebuttal.

So chizik and Malzahn in 4 years have not won 2 sec titles and a nAtty? Which is what miles has in 9 years soon to be 10? Wow.

The intellectual dishonesty of some here is amazing. Yet sad.
