3 years worth? 4 years worth? Too bad Auburn didn't feel that way towards gene Chizik huh? He was shitcanned TWO YEARS after a natty and voila! the fill in won the sec title his first year and almost won a natty the same year.

Your argument is a FAIL. sorry.

All great teams (and leaders) have had to be humbled before true greatness shows itself.

After 10 years, I believe the Tiger coaching staff has finally decided that the offense is going to be the emphasis at LSU (eventually).

No one could have foreseen that #10 would be inconsistent, paving the way for 'pre-mature' playing time by the true freshman Harris.
However, with Harris' play the 2 games prior to the big ‘away game’ last Sat, the freshman ‘got seasoned’ earlier than expected.

But real life is usually like this. Coaches have to go with what they have, since they can't get out on the field and make the plays. And, when the unexpected one (BH), was thrust to the ‘top of the world’ by the media and the Tiger nation, it was only natural to be brought down to his knees (literally), the next week.

But, to me, the good news is, the Tigers are building an offensive juggernaut, for the future. One might laugh at that notion, after the historic beating we took on 10/4/14. But, I believe we should mark this date, not because it's some type of 9-11 event, but because humility has a way of creating greatness!

Even though the young tiger offense is in its infant stages now, I personally believe the coaching staff knows exactly what they're doing, and with a transition from defense-oriented team to an offense-oriented team, it takes a year or two for the recruiting to 'kick in', and the young guns to grow into their talent, where it may become 'old hat' for Tiger fans to describe the 'Mad Hatter' as an offensive genius.

I belive we'll all look back to the game this past Saturday, and possibly the 2014 season, that could LSU's transition year, that put them in the driver's seat to becoming an offensive juggernaut, expected to win the conference and even another national title, sometime in the next 4 years.

But this time, it will be the big 'O', not the defense, that puts the tigers back on top.

I can't wait til this young, talented offensive unit, with its running backs, receivers, and versitile young QB, will be the envy of the SEC and the nation.

I might be crazy. But, I might be right, too.
Only time will tell.

Keep it up, Coach. We have faith in you!

Mett joined the team and sat the bench for a year before graduation stole JJ from CLM and he was forced to play him. That first year wasn't pretty.

Malzahn and Chizik in 4 years have matched Les' 9 year accomplishments at LSU in regards to title games/championships and didn't get embarrassed in their NC loss. Think about that.

So, name a few others besides Saban and Malzahn.

I don't mind being him being compared...but there aren't many who've accomplished what he has at LSU.

Think about that

But i will give you a reason. You will play mett over Lee and JJ? a guy that had been with the team for 8 months compared to 4 and 5 years. if you want to know how to lose a locker room, you start the guy who hasnt sweat and bled with he rest of the team.

Les is a good coach, why do people think if you don't think he's as great as they believe that you think he sucks.

I agree. Most fanatics both pro and con are so extreme in their belief about Miles, they interpret anything remotely close to opposing their viewpoint in the most radical possible way.

You are quite delusional in your thinking about the Saban years. Miles has been better. And his competition has been better. The completion in the west has just been insane the last few years.

No where did I say Saban's teams never make a mistake or that he is infallible. I just said that the lack of discipline, relatively speaking, was noticeable when contrasting the two.

You're one of those assholes who didn't get who you wanted after Saban left, hated JMiles from the start, critisized him at first, shut up when he started winning, and now that he's having a down seson, you come out of the woodwork with a fricking wall of text.

I am not one of those guys that kept my mouth shut when the winning began. His shortcomings have been on display from day one, winning can hide imperfections to the less discerning eye.

Yep. All his problems were ignored by plenty here because he won ugly with talented players even when out coached. Anyone with football knowledge could see it.

I would really like to hear an answer from them to this question: Do they honestly think with all else being equal, if we were swap head coaches with virtually any team from the west for these last two blowout losses would LSU still have been as thoroughly dominated?

I can't imagine anyone else from the West getting skull dragged to this degree. Pre 08 miles would not have been so soundly beaten. I understand this is conjecture, but the overall product was so poor I can't imagine any coach from Secw fairing as bad.

TL;DR

...but if I did read it, I'd say Coach Miles does seem to be playing not to lose these days, & is the furthest thing from a riverboat gambler that can be imagined. J.Lee PTSD. ;)

Nobody bitched when Jeremy Hill ran for 187 yards and 3 TDs into 9 and 10 man boxes against Auburn last year.

You also had a NFL QB that had to be respected from the pocket and you are so fricking wrong about the 9 and 10 man boxes, nobody went man up on OBjr and Juice last year.

Early in the season, OBC replaced Dean with Wuerfful. Dean was a senior and had underperformed.
Spurrier knew Wuerfful has more talent and made the change. Season went very well.

Wuerful was in his second year and won the Heisman trophy his Sr year. He wasn't in his first and Mett didn't win the Heisman. Florida aslo wasn't poised to win the national championship in 94 like we were in 2011. I think that's a lil diff than suggesting Mett should have started in 2011.
