Are you guys going to see it first thing today, or wait until it comes out on DVD?
I can't wait to watch it, should be great.

it can't be any worse than the Kirk Cameron version.
the book series is something i have always wanted translated to a good movie series.

I was at one of the film shoots, so I'm curious to see it, but I have a feeling it will be a terrible movie so I'll probably wait for Redbox.

Not a flame, OP, but. . . It looks like complete shite to me. Unknown director, Nic Cage, topic that caters to a particular audience. . . I will not be watching in theaters or on DVD.
ETA: Just check Rotten Tomatoes: 3% (three!) fresh. And the tagline of the poster is "Left Behind: The End Begins," as if someone wanted to make this into a series.

Haha I totally agree. I was being sarcastic.
RT has it at 3% so far.

Is it going to stick to the literal rapture story or do like Noah and kind of ignore God?
*not trying to be one of those crazy ppl as I think the Noah story could be told without obvious inclusion of God but the rapture can't IMO

I have little doubt it will be bad, but could the 3% be an anti-Cage bias?
ETA: Also may have lost some steam playing second fiddle to The Leftovers.

It looks like a legendary bad movie, like it could be one of the best of the best "so bad it's good" movies of all time.

Like, it's so bad that you'll laugh the whole time?

Unknown director? might want to check your facts. Vic Armstrong is a hollywood legend and one of the most accomplished filmmakers working today.

Where's your reference asterisk?

Loads of church buses will be dropping people off to watch that shitfest. Why can't Jesus make a quality film?

And, regarding him being "a Hollywood legend and one of the most accomplished filmmakers working today": 1. I've never heard of him. 2. No legend would ever make something as garbage as this movie.

Can't be any worse than the books.

I may watch the TNT version when it comes out. Looks awful because Cage is a dumpster fire

I am sure it will be a local hit seeing as how Baton Rouge citizens are obsessed with anything filmed here.

1 of every 2 dollars spent making this movie was paid to Nic Cage. That is never a mark of quality.
