They still suck for making me pay full price for a phone or otherwise lose my unlimited data

So I can upgrade and keep my unlimited?

I just got kicked off unlimited finally when I got my 6+ this week. I'm pretty pissed. I want it back.

No.

I may be wrong, but I believe it goes as stated earlier in the thread. If you upgrade with a discounted phone, you have to sign on with a new plan(thus losing unlimited), but if you pay for the cost of the phone upfront, you just switch over your current plan to that phone that you now own.

They said as long as I dont change my plan I can keep unlimited data.

Well, the catch is you can buy any phone you want out of contract, but if you want a new phone at the discounted 2 year contract price, that's where they kick you off.
I wasn't about to drop over 1k retail price on a phone.

I still have an iPhone 4 because of this
I can surf TD, text and call. Why do I need a new iphone?

You didn't get kicked off, you chose to lose it because you wanted a new phone for the cheaper price.

Ummm...yes I did. If I wanted to get a new phone for the contract price I had to pick a new plan.

I thought it was about $750 for the 6+? That's what it is with TMob off contract.
Also, if you don't think you're paying that $750 in the long run, you're crazy. Buy phones off contract and use them for 2 years+ and you will save more money than subsidizing a phone and thinking you got it "cheap".

I just ordered a 6 with Verizon, and they told me I'd lose my unlimited data. So, I told them I'd just go with their single line plan for $60. The sales guy then offered me the same plan I have with 6 GB of data instead of unlimited. I've never gone over 5 GB in a month, so I took that. Look into that if you're losing unlimited data.

That's not getting kicked off, you chose to leave to get a cheaper price. They didn't force you to get the new phone cheaper. I have a 6+ and still unlimited, I used the add a line and make it a dumb phone line option to get it the same price as yours. I have $10 more a month in my plan for the next two years though.
Verizon is not kicking anyone off anything, they are just charging people more to buy their phones if they want to stay on that plan.
