40lb bags = 44
80lb bags = 22
Use 6x6 on the corners.

Also.....
Go ahead and get some gravel and put it at the bottom of your holes. Helps to keep the post from rotting.

Are they 4x4 posts or 2" diameter posts used for chain-link?
ETA: Nevermind I see that its a privacy fence so its probably 4x4's.Probably about a bag and a half per post. (40 lb bags)

Why anyone would get a 2wd post is beyond me.

50# bag per post
80# will do 2 post
80# will do 2 post

Thought I had heard a bag per post. Thank you for confirming.
yes 4x4s. May do the 6x6 on corners as mentioned as well.

Just finished a fence at my house and I ended up using 3/4 of 80lb bag per hole (8in wide and 30in deep) so i would go with one 60lb bag per hole

50# fast setting? 40#, 60# or 80#. This matters

Are you using a gas post hole digger or Hand(clam-shell) digger? Hand ones, you end up digging bigger holes

Make sure you mix the concrete well in wheel barrow first. I have seen fence companies dump the bag in the hole and just pour water onto it. This may sound obvious to most but just thought I'd throw it out there.

I feel the opposite. I did both and my hand dug holes were much smaller. I used 1 bag of red fast setting quickrete per hole. Sometimes another half of a bag

Depends on how big of a hole you are digging and how deep the posts are set. My fence has 4x4 posts set 4' in the ground and 6' up. I used a tractor mounted auger and put 2-80# bags of cement on each post.

Will likely rent a gas auger

Also if doing this yourself i recommend spending the extra time and $$ to screw the boards to the runners and not nail. I used 1-5/8" torx head deck screws putting two on each runner. Not one board lost for Gustave.

frick that. that takes FOREVER. you only need an auger if you are in a hard clay environment. anywhere in La just hang dig it. the augers are a PIA
