No.
I didn't realize it was already posted here.

I'm honestly surprised that DOTD admitted that they fricked-up so quickly. It usually takes them longer than that.

It would have been easier and solved the collision issue but it would not have been as beneficial to Burbank traffic efficiency. The idea behind getting rid of the light and make boyd right turn only was to both improve burbank traffic flow and eliminate hazard due to left turns.
The way they have it set up now would be fine if West Parker ran all the way to Nicholson. But it doesn't (yet?) so they fricked up.

I disagree with you about the cottages set up now. I've had to slam on my brakes damn near every morning traveling towards campus on Burbank because some a-hole had to be the last car to shoot the gap while u-turning. I never had any problems before when those cars could make the left on to Burbank. Now you have a gap in traffic and 6 or 7 cars u-turning while another group of cars is traveling towards them at 60 mph.
It's only going to get worse when that new complex is at full capacity.

Thank god I'll be out of the area by the time that new complex is finished. Traffic laws in BR are moronic.

If you add the arrow, you either need to add a turn lane or split the phasing between the two approaches. That means that one approach gets a green ball and a green arrow until the light turns red. Then the opposing approach gets the same indicators. This just increases the overall cycle length, so traffic on the main line has to sit longer.
Better to sit longer at a light cycle than have an accident blocking traffic make you sit indefinitely

DOTD to reinstall traffic signal at intersection of East Boyd Drive and Burbank Drive
Tuesday, September 30, 2014
BATON ROUGE, La. – Today, the Louisiana Department of Transportation and Development announced that crews will begin work to reinstall the traffic signal at the intersection of East Boyd Drive and Burbank Drive starting tomorrow. The work is expected to take eight working days, at which time, the signal will be reactivated.
The signal was removed in July as part of a project to improve safety and traffic flow on this section of Burbank Drive. DOTD, after careful monitoring and trying different traffic measures to improve this intersection, found it best to revert back to the original configuration.
This is the final piece of a project that was designed to improve safety and traffic flow on Burbank Drive. The following work was also performed during the project, and will stay in place:
Installing a new traffic signal at the intersection of Burbank Drive and West Parker Boulevard including pedestrian signals
Restriping Burbank Drive from a 4-lane roadway to a 5-lane roadway with a center turn lane
Reconstructing the signal at Burbank Drive and Jennifer Jean Drive and adding pedestrian signals
Clearing land at the corner of Burbank Drive and East Boyd Drive to improve sight distance and extending the sidewalk along Burbank
DOTD would like to remind drivers to be alert while driving through this intersection as drivers adjust to the changes.
For more information, please visit www.dotd.la.gov, email dotdcs@la.gov, or call DOTD’s Customer Service Center at (225) 379-1232 or 1-877-4LADOTD (1-877-452-3683). Business hours are 7:30 a.m. - 5 p.m., Monday through Friday.
Motorists can also access up-to-date travel information by dialing 511 or by visiting www.511la.org. Out of-state travelers can call 1-888-ROAD-511 (1-888-762-3511).
Additionally, motorists can utilize the new “Way to Geaux” application to receive real-time, around the clock travel alerts. The hands-free, eyes-free smartphone application can be downloaded on any iPhone or Android device by visiting either the iTunes App Store, or Google Play.

Sounds like you need to drop down to the speed limit and be in the right lane like you're supposed to be, and you won't have that issue. I'm guessing that's too much of an inconvenience for you though.

Speed limit is 55 there and am o supposed to be in the right lane if I'm passing someone in the right lane? What if the car that u-turns stays in the right lane? What do I do then? You sound like a douchebag.

Name calling definitely screams "I'm not a douche."

Just calling a spade a spade.
I respectively disagreed with you about your opinion on that intersection and you immediately assume I'm in the wrong lane and too inconvenienced to drive in the right lane.
