The light has been taken down, there are signs everywhere. At what point do drivers take responsibility for being idiots?

Ive driven through that intersection about 10 times since they took the light out. There has almost been an accident 7 of those times. Dumbasses on Burbank coming to a complete stop (with no intention of turning) seem to be the biggest problem.

They need to put the light back and program it so that each direction of Boyd has a green light while the other three directions are faced with a red light. The biggest problem was people trying to turn left onto Burbank and only two or three cars making it through the intersection.

the problem is that there is no sign, and that its a strange place to only have a right turn only in both directions. It needs to be made obvious. Unfortunately stupid people will try to turn there illegally so they don't have to wait at Parker.

I feel like people don't know how to obey traffic laws or something.

The lights have changed, the signs have changed. TO HELP YOU.

Just do what they say, they make sense!

A big part of transportation engineering is what's called the "idiot factor".

There's what people should do, and then there's what people are likely to do. Sound engineering judgment relies heavily on the ability to balance the two.

While I agree with that, it's been long enough for people to know what to do there now. Can't blame it on the non functioning light still being up anymore.

It has been long enough to realize that the city needs to do something. The current set up is not working (amazing how many amateur traffic engineers were able to predict that). It simply is not safe to have a stop sign on a road as heavily used as Boyd where traffic has to cross 5 lanes.

Because idiots you seem to want to give a pass for are too stupid to do what the signs and lights tell them.

What dumb logic. If this was true, Siegen would have a light at every single intersection. But hey, at least you got the amateur part right.

Correct. You also can't try to change driver tendencies too drastically because this is what happens.

That intersection has been in constant flux for months. One day there is a light, next day no light, next day flashing light. Everyone knows drivers in La have trouble with this shite. Its common knowledge, so why act like its all of the sudden going to change now?
