I'm trying to buy a new scope for my 270wsm. I've pretty much narrowed it down to one of these three. I was at Lafayette shooters yesterday handled each one and I still can't make a decision. I live in Alexandria so I will go to security to look again but just wondering if anyone had experienced with any of these and could give your thoughts. TIA

When you're spending that kind of cheese on glass, you've gotta go swarovski. Maybe maybe maybe the Zeiss if you found a slamming deal on it, but I'm not touching leupolds over $500.

My Swarovski Z3 blows away my dad's Leopold VX3, as it should.

Scopes are one thing where you generally get what you paid for.
More money=more quality with scoped.

What improves with $$$$/quality?

Just as a general rule, the more you spend the better the scope is regardless of make/model.
Better scopes usually transfer light better so they're clearer in low light, have more generous eye relief, the adjustments are more accurate, the glass doesn't fog as easily, etc
Usually anything over $200 will be a good deer rifle scope. It's personal preference after that IMO
People killed piles of deer with junky hardware store scopes for a long time, so a $1000 scope is definitely not necessary, but it sure is nice and will make a difference early in the morning.

"those newfangled Weaver "telescopic sights" will never catch on.. yer dayum right, you'll never see some kind of "telescopic sight" on my 30-30, hayull no, I wouldn't trust em" !!!
that's pretty much what most of us said in about the late 60's.

This!
A step below Swarovski are Zeiss scopes. Also, a great choice.

I have the Zeiss Conquest HD5 3-15 42 for my 30 06.
Love it. Great scope.

Between the three, Swarovski. I will say this, over the past 11-12 years, Swarovski's quality has gone down tremendously in terms of durability (the glass is still good). If were you, I would check out Khales and go with one of their scopes.

If that's the case then Schmidt & Bender > any suggested so far.

Whats funny is we had S&B's on our Barrett .50 cals when I was in Afghanistan and I dreamed about taking one back with me lol. They are really great scopes just way to expensive for me lol
