harris will play a little more in this game.. Translation: 1 more series than last game..

Miles will use this game for Jennings like he did with JJ. let him make some plays, maybe score a TD or 2, then he can come out at the press conference and get on everyone for doubting him and Jennings..

Then next week, we get clobbered by Auburn.

Jennings didn't give up 600 yards in 3+ quarters

Maybe help your defense out by, IDK, sustaining drives! He was missing wide open guys, we couldn't run, and Miles continued to just throw him out there. Miles put Harris in because Jennings was hurt. That is the only reason he got in. Who is to say he woild or wouldn't have did good getting into the third quarter? Miles stated himself that both would play, and Harris basically got in when the game was decided.

He did it last year with Mett and Jennings only a game wasn't on the line. We were up 42-17 to UAB with 11:30 to go in the 3rd, Jennings comes in and gets a bad snap on 2nd down, and Miles immediately pulls him for Mett. We then don't see Jennings til 11:30 left in the fourth up 56-17, and we just have him hand off the rest of the game.

We pretty much waste the only opportunity to get the backup any snaps against a 1st string defense.

Think about Lee. He did not pull him at all. The only reason JJ took over for Lee, is because Lee was hurt. The only reason Lee took over for Hatch, is because Hatch had a concussion.

What's this board gonna look like when Harris does play a lot vs. an SEC opponent and starts making mistakes?

Everyone says they'll accept "growing pains," but his errors in the huddle and with knowing the plays will happen again.

The point is not that someone makes a mistake, it is that you give yourself whatever opportunity you have to win. If Harris makes mistakes and helps us score I think we all would live with that. If Jennings does likewise we would live with that. It is just, let them try to win.

My six year old runs about 12 total plays in peewee.

Are people thinking we are so naive that we would believe Harris can't learn our limited playbook?

Cmon man!

when has miles ever developed 2nd string qb's by getting them into blowout games?

the only one that stands out to me is north texas 2005 with matt flynn coming in and LSU running the same offense. flynn threw 3 TD's that game.

Who cares what the board looks like? We only have a couple options at QB.

Jennings gets better
Jennings stays the same
Harris plays good
Harris plays bad

We also have that Jennings could play worse. IMO, you will have to start the more talented guy because we don't have the luxury of a good defense or good run game. Maybe that changes also, who knows, but right now, we need the QBs to do way more than they have been.

If Harris is botching simple play calls, that leads me to believe he isn't getting many reps @ practice.

we could start T-Bob and beat NNex.

I don;t disagree with starting Jennings, but would hope we would use this game to give Harris a LOT of playing time before the last five minutes.

So, you're basically saying that Miles is a bad guy, selfish, and doesn't care about the team, only himself?

Les has done these things in the past, as bad as JJ was he was always the starter, if Les ever needed to score badly he would insert JL. I feel like this is what will happen, I just do not see Les getting over the JL situation and he is way to stubborn to adjust his offense. He needs to realize that everyone in the SEC has talent and depth, he is an idiot if he thinks we can just run them over and wear them out. MSU is a very good team but Auburn Ole Miss Alabama and Texas A&M are just as good or better. If he can't take the lesson from the MSU game, he deserves every bit of criticism, he get paid millions of dollars for a reason. The youth excuse is bullshite because we aren't trying to change anything. Jennings to me will never be anything more than a solid game manager. He is not a bad player, but he just isn't a playmaker. People need to stop making excuses, with the personnel we have there is no reason we cannot have a solid offense. Defense can be fixed, I'd swap a few players and scheme a litter different but the sky is the limit, some of our best players are just freshman and sophomores.

I would rather see harris make some mistakes than sticking with the status quo. I think ultimately harris is more talented and will win the job in the long run. New mexico state would be the ideal situation to get him a lot of reps. I would alternate series and see who is best equipped to beat auburn next week.

Are you on crack? Lee started almost 40% of the time between 2008 and 2011.

The only people not way over JJ are some clowns here who refuse to move on even though the guy is three years gone.

I believe now it was the long pass, again after missing a wide open Quinn, Jennings got Dural on the fly and then we pushed it in. I think this is why Miles is hesitant about replacing Jennings. It was still not going to happen with Jennings in there, winning, but this play extended Miles faith in the O with Jennings running it. jmo
