Jeff Grimes has proven he is a good coach.
outside of riding a Sr group at AU and Cam Newton, where's he done this?

Why is it not that the players just arent as good as we thought?
Bc this same group basically has fallen off a cliff from last yr through 4 games

He was 2x ACC coach of the year before going to UF and won the conference

But hey, it's Les making the choices and since he's won a bunch of games, you should never question him. Got it!

You can disagree with him. My question then why is he a volunteer coach then and not have a better gig?

I agree and I wanted KM for that spot, however thought Grimes would be fine and there is still time for that to happen. I think its a matter of game planning and scheme and another year of ground and pound and there are even more people in the box. Sure they are missing a few assignments but it is the play calling that is hurting them more than a "bad OL"

I think they need to shake things up and take Vadal out and put a young 2nd year player there and keep Pocic at RG, then see what happens, with a close eye on Center spot.

Cam needs to tell Cam to open it up and put out an offense like the Saints and lets sling it, RB in the flat, TE, wheel routes, Pump fakes left and throw right, run out of the 3 WR sets and let LF run wild... SOmething fun and trying to do something positive to dominate and win. Not to run 9 scripted handoffs in a row.

If that full back waves his hand behind his arse again this year, Alleva should run Miles out of town. That is Pee Wee leauge shite right there!!

If Drew Brees wanted to coach QBs at LSU next year would the board say no because he had no experience?

In his one season at BSU, Grimes’ offensive line helped the Broncos lead the nation in scoring offense and accumulate 175 rushing yards per game.

Grimes achieved great success at ASU, with four of his 2001 seniors drafted into the NFL (just the second time that had been done at any school since the NFL adopted the seven-round draft format in 1993). He helped orchestrate a solid rushing attack, tutoring Loren Wade to break the ASU freshman rushing record while leading the Pac-10 in yards per carry.

His 2006 BYU linemen blocked for the nation's fourth best offense, averaging over 465 yards per game including 141.9 on the ground, and were a large part of the Cougars winning the MWC Championship. BYU finished 11–2 and ranked 15th in the Coaches' Poll.

Seems pretty successful to me. But Im sure you'll conjure up a reason why none of that was his success.

The lines were bad in 08 and 09 because those are your upperclassmen from sabans 04 and 05 class that we got ciron black and Herman Johnson. Saba dropped the ball his final 2 seasons recruiting.

I rememeber the consensus of the Auburn fans was that Grimes was a very good recruiter but they were underwhelmed with his OL coaching. Just saying

You mean when they hired Spurrier, who led DUKE to 9 wins twice? Spurrier had also been a HC in the USFL. Had a shitton of experience when Florida hired him.

True. Brees has only been all-pro 5x compared to Mawae's 8x.

Bu OL is Miles' area of expertise. He could help mold an inexperienced coach with lots of potential.

In a thread full of fricking retarded posts, the Spurrier one may just be the worst.

Followed closely by the tard who says that some other rival is gonna scoop Mawae up and then just a few posts down says that Mawae is not going anywhere because of Healing Place.

Same here. But as I'm seeing things play out KM may have been the better choice. Fresh eyes, no bad habits. I'm a little bit concerned we're looking at an OL version of disastrous Dinardo era DC, Lou Tepper.
