Headed to Portland in a couple weeks for work. Where are some places to eat in and around downtown? I'm open to going outside the city as I will have a rental. Open to pretty much anything and will be there for 4 days.

there's a haunted pizzaria there that's pretty good. Most of the food was good, but just average. The beer and the Voodoo donuts are what you go to Portland for. Those two things will make everything taste better.

Last time I was there, I ate at Portland City Grill and Portland Prime.

This is the view from PCG:

This is Portland Prime:

I enjoyed both restaurants and plan to return to each one next month.

I went about a month ago. We ate at Little Bird one night and Beast the next day for brunch before heading out to wine country. Both were very good. Beast has a fixed menu with no substitutions - everyone sits and eats at the same time...it was a good experience though.

Just got the Le Pigeon cookbook. Id eat there and/or Little Bird just based on the book alone. Beast as well. Also, swing by Ken's Artisan bakery, he is a really cool guy and a hell of a baker.

You headed to the GRC by chance? I'm anxiously awaiting vendor dinners there myself.
