You can easily pick this movie to pieces, but I'm not sure why you'd want to do that. She takes a huge chance with the NPH thing because, for all she knows, he may have an alibi for the day of the "abduction". Her disguise wasn't that great and she took a huge chance by watching the news of the abduction with her trailerpark friend. Tons of parts of the plan that conveniently went perfectly for her.
I'd rather just enjoy the movie, than look for reasons to dislike it.

Emily Ratajkowski…you should probably google her on your own time not in the office.

a lot of your problems hinge on the whole "how does anyone believe this shite?" story. you have to think of it from someone's perspective who didn't know she faked it. you see this story, how it's portrayed in the media, how it all was going down, and then she shows up…you don't question that. you just thank God she's safe. the book does a great job of showing that whole psyche, IMO. the movie doesn't convey that quite as well, though it does a pretty good job.

Google is your friend. Never seen the Blurred Lines video?

there's a lot better out there of her than that blurred lines video

Amy's entire plan rests solely on the fact that her husband will go to a secluded place to think about their marriage while she fakes the kidnapping.
Got to this part in the book. He is banging his girl, not at the beach. But he has to lie to the cops about this initially. And by the time they know about her, he isn't talking to them anymore under the advice of his lawyer.

The movie changes Amy's voice when she's reading from her diary; the voice I thought was annoying was actually an intentional modification by the movie.
One negative: The dialogue, in many places (especially in the first 30 minutes or so), felt like it was written by a book-writer - which, of course, it was. It felt forced, phony, unnatural in a few scenes. Like, people would never talk like that IRL.
For some reason, I wasn't paying close enough attention to this the first time I watched it.

Here are some of the inconsistencies I was talking about

I realized the same thing while leaving the theater. At the beginning, the way their conversations went sounded so scripted and it bugged me. When I realized that they were in fact a "script", it made me appreciate the movie more.

I definitely enjoyed it. I'm not letting that stuff get in the way of that. It's an awesome movie.

The Nancy Grace character in that movie was awesome. It was too close to realistic...and as I started to sympathize with Ben Afleck's character in the end, I really wanted him to smash her face.
I love how it was blatantly obvious that the news program with the incredibly bias personality was supposed to be an imitation of Nancy Grace, who I personally find to be the face of irresponsible journalism.
The twist at the end was kind of strange. It felt bad for him but he apparently realized in the end that he got off on that in some ways.
A normal guy would run from a nutcase wife like that and never look back.....but then again, he likes it in some ways. She's a sociopath, not a terrorist. Her violence and abuse are strategic and calculated. She could never logically get away with murdering him after that interview, and neither could he. I like to think that her days of pulling stunts like that are over, and he's probably not about to cheat on her again.

You realize he has no choice, right. Would you let a crazy woman raise your son with you out of the picture?

The only way i would ever stay in that situation is if I let her know "Ive written the details of everything that happened, and if i succumb to an untimely and suspicious death, an unknown person that you do not know will make public the information"

I realized the same thing as well. I thought their dialogue was cheesy when they met and were first together, but realized afterwards that it was supposed to be cheesy because she wrote it in her fake diary.

I've seen this mentioned a few times in this thread from the reddit thread and no one has pointed out the obvious. Everyone found out about the "abduction" AFTER she slit NPH's throat. So he's a little dead to chime in with his alibi
