Question re: Gun Trade

I had a guy ask me about trading my Ruger LC9 for a Glock 33/.357 Sig. My Ruger is a bit newer than the Glock, but can't decide if this is a good trade or not.

That Glock will be very expensive to shoot unless you buy a .40 barrel for it.

I personally don't see why anyone likes the LC9, but that's just me. I would probably do it.

I've never traded, sold or swapped a gun that I didn't regret later. Keep your gun and buy the Glock if you really want it.

Glock should be worth a little more than the Ruger if that's what you're asking

Accurate and solid advice.

The only gun I've ever traded off was a hipoint carbine in .40. Great gun, but I dont miss it. .357 sig is a niche round and it's expensive. I wouldn't make the trade unless you just really liked the glock

I like the LC9. Use the Galloway trigger bar, trigger, guide rod, spring, and deleted the mag safety. Works great when I'm bike riding or carrying in shorts. Of course, it's my third carry choice after the 1911 and M&P9c. Fits a roll. I bought it well before the smaller smith or xds came out, with the lc9 upgrades it's not worth changing over for a very marginal difference.

I sold a sigma once. That was awesome.

Amen. I wouldn't have got it to start with if I didn't like it. Still tryin to kick myself for selling my Sweet 16 several years ago.

Ruger striker fired LC9 is a completely different trigger
Ruger did a great job on that upgrade.
