Robinson only has 1 tackle and 2 assisted tackles in three games. And ZERO pass breakups and ZERO INTs

Is he in the Miles doghouse? He is possibly our best shutdown corner. Does it bother anyone else that he is not ALWAYS on the field?

He will be gone to the NFL after next year... just seems like a waste when he is on the sidelines. (assuming he is in the doghouse)

Discuss!

apparently he's not the best corner all around, if he were he'd be playing.

Dumb thread. Miles plays the players who:
1. Are the best at their position
2. Are team players who follow rules

I'm sure he's been taken down a notch as a result of or after the suspension.

Bottom line is Miles is the decision maker.

You'll probably get a lot of bites with any post with these words in it.

How miserable is football season for folks like this?

Not concerned about his production at all. His production is about to go up now that we are entering SEC play.

Like this thread, using tackles to measure a CB's productivity is dumb.

First of all, why are you looking at the stats of a cornerback that has played in two games against vastly inferior opponents?

Second, do you realize that some of the best cornerbacks have the worst stat sheets? In 2008/2009 nnamdi asumgha (sp?) Had like 30 tackles and 1 interception, but was the most sought after cornerback. His coverage skills were so good no one threw his way. Not saying he's that good but stats on a CB don't mean shite.

no, I don't think there's any great difference in what he and Collins bring to the table at the moment.

Collins' issues his first couple yrs were run support and consistency in coverage. in that order. the first one is why he lost his starting spot to Mills and Tre in successive seasons, moreso than his coverage. he looks to have improved in both areas, and RR got suspended. Collins took advantage. good for him.

lol at you looking at stats for a CB

some of the best cornerbacks log in next to nothing because they don't get near them

Jalen Collins will be gone to the NFL after this year, wouldn't that bother you if he were on the sidelines instead?

Fact is that we have three legitimate #1/#2 corners, one of them was gonna get the short end of the stick this year in terms of playing time. (None of that includes Dwayne Thomas, who has the nickel spot on lock, IMO. Even if Robinson is a better DB overall than Thomas, I would prefer Thomas keep his particular role because I think he's better suited for it.)

Pretty sure White, Collins and Robinson had a rotation going with each playing a couple of series then sitting one out. ULM didn't really try to pass on any of the three so it wasn't really noticeable.

If you can't tell that White is our best corner, then you haven't been paying attention to the games.

If you see a cb with a lot of tackles it usually means that that cb has been giving up completions and make the tackle or that the opposing team's rb is making it passed the first level of defense.
Just like you don't want your lbs to be leading the conference in tackles because that means your defense isn't getting off the field and letting the lb have more defensive snaps to rack up stats

J. Collins has played light out through 3 games and has done NOTHING to suggest he should not be on the field.

Robinson messed up with she off the field issues and got suspended. Other guy stepped up and put a chokehold on the CB spot opposite WHite.

Good for Collins.

Many responses to the OP but only one matters right now:

Through three games, LSU's pass defense has completely dominated the opposition. Why would you change what's working perfectly?
