Probably nothing to it. But today I got home from golf at about 11 am. From noon till right now there has been a regular stream of bombers taking off from BAFB and passing north over my house. About 10 so far at approximately half hour intervals.

So, what's unusual about it? The last time I witnessed something like this was during the Iraq War (Bush).

I'm pretty sure we're not going to bomb Liberia. I wonder where they are going.

Maybe they're just practicing their flying.

They're getting ready to deploy to Africa for the War On Ebola.

I bet Obama reads the OT and has realized that Ebola is spreading and will soon kill over half the world population and the only way to stop is to sacrifice Liberia and nuke the it. It is like that scene in Armageddon where they nuke Houston (except Africa is an improvement to Houston).

It's really cool watching those things coming in over I-20 for a landing.

It's amazing how old those bombers are and what they've carried over their lifetime.

Zach do you remember the SR71's flying over New Iberia on their way to Cuba during the missile crisis? Once you heard the boom it was too late.

Just had at least 30 come over my house in West Feliciana all in a line evenly spaced headed southeast

Was very cool, but also kinda intimidating and scary.

There is definitely something going down.

I live in North La. And I just took the dogs out before bed and saw something that I can't really recall ever seeing:

I saw the lights of what appeared to be 5 or 6 large aircraft flying at high altitude in formation over my house and yes, they were headed dead north. It's nothing to see B-52s around and things like that but I don't recall having seen a large group like that flying together. Couldn't hear them or anything, could only see the lights. Very strange indeed.

headin' down the Atlanta highway
Lookin' for the love getaway
Headed for the love getaway
I got me a car, it's as big as a whale
And we're headin' on down to the Love Shack

Question for you B-52 types on this board: Is the B-52 the most appropriate platform to hit Syria and/or Iraq?

For whatever reason, I see this conflict being more conducive to the AC-130 Spectre gunships, A-10s, B1s, and other fighters. Again, I don't know, but aren't B-52s better for fixed targets vs. mobile columns?
