I remember a DKE alum telling me about some hazing they did. Visqueen on the floor in the chapter room. They poured Tabasco on the Visqueen. The pledges were in boxers and they had to slide on their arse from one end to the other
He said some of the actives were so fired up, they stripped down and did it too
Then everybody got in a big pile and blew each other

when I was there they'd have a Christmas party for orphans at their house, and as "Santa" was coming down the stairs to greet the kids, a couple of "gangsters" would barge in the front door with machine guns and blow Santa away, complete with a dramatic fall down the stairs and a slow agonizing death worthy of the hokiest B movie ever

I knew a guy that gave the DKE pledges painkillers for free because he claimed that that the pledges got their arse beat and he felt bad.
All the DKEs I knew were surprisingly normal to be honest, outside of alcoholism/drug addiction.

Have you really seen a lot of DKE's at LSU? They aren't beating any arse...
They were a bunch of "skinny, fat" guys from New Orleans and Shreveport. They probably couldn't bench 120 pounds or run a mile without keeling over.
The DKE's at Alabama on the other hand...

No, they definitely weren't badasses or anything like that that. My friend just told me that the pledges got their arse beat to the point that they wanted to take painkillers is all.
With that being said, they could have been hitting the tabs before then anyway or my friend could be full of shite. All three are quite possible.

Na Na ninny ninny goat pussy good as any. We got booted in '02 for hazing. Got back on and booted again for racial insensitivty a few years later.

we have some of those old gumbo books from the 70's when my parents were at LSU. Some of those pics are hysterical. Seriously if your parents have them, go back and look at the group pics.
