Frankly I am amazed that gay marriage is not legal in every state yet.
It will be on the fast(er) track once the old-fashioned Baby Boomers get out of positions of influence.

Jesus will weep so much that his tears will flood Earth and everybody will either be dead or gay.

The days when crusty old white, heterosexual men were in control, everybody was going to church on Sunday, and gays were in the closet.

It will enrage the muslims. If you were paying attention to Obama you would know that we shouldn't do that.

So...if something is inevitable, people who wish to stop it/delay it should just give up?
No, in politics it makes sense to hold on to an issue that is contrary to the culture at large until you're irrelevant. It's the way to win elections.

How fast do you think polygamy tolerance will be accepted?
Do you think the fact that it tends be people who are deeply religious that are into that is holding it back?
I think the fact that it isn't practiced by mainstream Christianity holds it back.

Honestly this was better - all this LGBTQ stuff being out in the open just makes life more confusing.
One man, one woman - not that hard to understand.

What's confusing about it?

Ha ha ha...
But seriously I mean confusing for society in general. It just makes things much simpler.
I'm with Phil Robertson when it comes to this stuff.

It will for sure be Mississippi that legalizes it last. Whenever the 49th state legalizes it, Mississippi will be 20 years behind them.

Neither is homosexuality.
I guarantee you that if polygamy were legal in all 50 states, tomorrow, by 2030 or 2035 there would be more polygamists in the U.S. than homosexuals.
Not me, of course. It's impossible to please just 1 woman, it's useless to even try - so why would somebody voluntarily take on the challenge of more than 1.
But, I can't reconcile a society where gay "marriage" is on the same footing, legally, culturally, institutionally, with traditional "one man/one woman" marriages, and polygamy isn't
Just as I neither drink alcohol, nor smoke marijuana, but cannot reconcile a legal framework where the former is completely legal for those of age, not operating a motor vehicle or heavy equipment, and the latter is, essentially, illegal under all cirumstances to grow, possess, sell and/or use.

I am right there with you brother.

You know the counter to that is being gay is a lifestyle choice.
Look I don't know for sure if that's true or not, but like Phil says, all I know is that, as a man, the only thing that makes sense sexually, romantically, and eventually marriage-wise is to be with a woman.
Plus, it's just obvious by looking at male and female genitalia and studying the reproductive process that men were meant to be with women and vice versa.
